Hello,
I just stumbled in to the Buses of sgForums recently after reading some of the contents on sgWiki. My interests for buses is rising again(heehee) after looking at so many wonderful old + new bus pictures on some galleries.
Anyway, hope you guys can guide me
By the way, is there any websites/gallery that state the "short forms" that you all use to represent the bus?
Like "MK2, MK3, Nissan and BTL etc"...still new here, hope theres a thread like that for me to know the short forms for the buses. -

Hi. Would be good if you tell us your age/school(IF applicable) and maybe how you started to like buses in the first place.

I am 15 this year,(Secondary 3) currently studying in a secondary school.
I started to like buses when I was quite small. Probably in Primary 2/3? My family not that rich enough to get a car, so our transport is usually by buses then the it came those new buses that makes me wanting to sit in it and admire it
especially if it is new! The usual bus service I take is SBST...(do not know why but theres only 1 SMRTB near my hse)
Then when the "Service Guides" brochures were released on the bus, I will usually get my mother to get 1 piece of it. Whenever I take buses, I will check the "brochures column" to see if there is any Service Guides. Sometimes if my luck is good(the bus deployed to other services) and there is other number's Service Guide, I will go and get one.
As I grow up, I called my Dad & Mum to bring me to the different bus interchanges to get more Service Guides. If I am not wrong, I was still in Primary school that time, and I went to..."SengKang, Bedok, Changi Airport Basement(not very sure of the name..), Serangoon, AngMoKio, Toa Payoh, Jurong East, Buona Vista, Bishan, Clementi and others...my journey around Singapore to get all the bus guides
Because I keep on bothering my parents to get bus guides, especially in buses, I am very short and can't get the brochures, my parents always scold me for doing this "pai seh" thing. Thinking about this..I was so stupid enough to throw my 1 box of Service Guides >.<, my heart pains when I remembered about this all my sweat to get those papers and I threw it away.
Eventually my PSLE came and I got internet and got hooked up with Internet Online games and lost the interest to get updated bus guides. Until recently, I found this and saw some photos of the bus that triggers me to also join and discuss. -

The Service Guides last time is definitely the best...with different colours...pity I threw it and there is only a purple colour guide now.
