In reality the pic is not like thisOriginally posted by ^tamago^:u talking about B9TL or general?
perm allocation are made based on the profitability (of which ridership is a factor). the more profitable a route is, the more justifiable it is to allocate better buses.
another factor is the cost of maintenance. a higher cost of maintenance was one of the reasons why the scania L94UB was put on Express 518 since it can recoup the operating costs.
as for spares, it is up to the computer to allocate every morning.
sigh.Originally posted by sbst275:In reality the pic is not like this
But if you allocate it to another route and put an NAC MK2 on it instead (Originally posted by ^tamago^:another factor is the cost of maintenance. a higher cost of maintenance was one of the reasons why the scania L94UB was put on Express 518 since it can recoup the operating costs.

Or if you want to be cheapskate, place it on the shift with the shortest payhour...![]()
But u also forgot if use NAC buses, the potential fare losses gets higher if the % of long dist travellers is highOriginally posted by stooper:But if you allocate it to another route and put an NAC MK2 on it instead (), you would still be able to recoup the operating costs since the costs saved on the MK2 can be transfered to backup the operating cost of the Scania on a non-profitable route.

Just to ask why the operating costs for Scania L94UB is higher? Is it because it consumes lots of diesel?Originally posted by stooper:But if you allocate it to another route and put an NAC MK2 on it instead (), you would still be able to recoup the operating costs since the costs saved on the MK2 can be transfered to backup the operating cost of the Scania on a non-profitable route.
