The Route MAnager is the head of the RG; HEad of the interchange or sometimes interchanges.
The route master is equaivalent to my post in the workshop as a Management support officer. Or commonly known as senior supervisor. It's the direct assistant to the manager.
Joining the bus companies means you must put more dedication towards work as you're serving public even if you're a private company like SBST. Endure the sacarsm of fools who don't know the truth yet want to fire at the company. Become much more professional in your own course of work than you would elsewhere. BEcause wrong steps made by merely a junior supervisor can even result to paralyse part of the public transport system in Singapore. If you're assaulted by the public, you must endure. At most call the police or call WOCC/EOCC for assistance. Despatch the wrong bus and you'll face the music if the bus crashes, or the 3D advertisements fall off. For BC minor scratches on the bus and you answer to your O.O. (another type of senior supervisor, depot based) for accident reports. Forget to close the door when end shift and bus breeds mosquitoes and public complains of 1 mosquito inside the bus and you get 'TAROKED'. One cockroach is seen in the bus and the O.O. gets the bullet. And the list goes on...
In summary, if you're not able to take the stress to aim to be perfect, then don't join. I'm used to the stress already.![]()
