How did 43/76 jump to 156 in the first place? -

People from Punggol can actually take NEL to SengKang and take 156 and switch to 76 at Yio Chu Kang Rd.

In the 1st place, these 2 services have different demands. It makes no sense to withdraw 43 and extend 156 into punggol. Itz just like trying to say.. IMO, the effect of buses because of CCL will be much more minimum as compared to NEL.. Think about it.. CCL is a Medium Rail while NEL is a Heavy Rail.. so, it makes sense to do something to the bus services so as to force ppl onto the NEL , which provide a faster trip into the city. But for CCL case, the main objective is to bring ppl from one line to another line without passing through the city area (e.g. EWL to NSL).. So, in other words, their main target for this line is not the residents living along the line BUT those passengers who wanna make tranfers from one line to another.

43 and 76 are services which have their own demand. Think 43 and 76 like how would you think of 77 and 111. -
Whatever the route planners do, they should not touch Svc 70. Leave that one as the anchor.

For me, from my hse at serangoon north, my family would take 156 to clementi. I believe 156 from SER Nth is faster than 147.
