  If i'm not mistaken , BNDEP use to handle Mercs including the ex-SBS999U (the Merc Bendy)

  What choww said is quite right. There are Volvos on AMDEP and BRBP , if u dont believe me u go to Yio Chu Kang , u can find Volvo on 162 , and 131 , u will definietly find 3 Striders on it.

  I dun think you understand what sbs_boy is trying to say .... what he mean was , if choww say BRAM and AMDEP shld get Volvo buses , then why is there VO3x , VSO , B9TL , B10M etc? Aren't they Volvo buses also?

  what he mean abt Volvo buses in BRAM/AM, is that he wish to see Volvo bus on SV 142/145/90/155/231/232/235/238/24/130/261/262/265/268/269/13/26/94, i.e. those buses which are using MB0405 right now..
  
  There are some Volvo MK IV in AM/BR but they are only deployed on certain services..
  
  but actually, last time, SV 145/142/155 did use MK III before..

  there are 3 striders based in the Central.
  
  2 of them (2625K, 2629A) are on sv21 (AMDEP) and another is SBS2634J (Braddell 131)
  
  21 also has striders from Bedok North.. 131 only has 1 as u can see

  I believe that LO & VO batch 1 are just 1 year apart.Maybe some LOs will go to JIS service next year progressively

  I think the actual reason for x-over is to fully utilise the buses... Otherwise, the 179 LOs will lie in the depot till 8+am instead of 5+am to start service.The last bus to start 179 is 7236S (x-over back from 255) at 8.43am.
  
  The pre-7am 179 loading is not that great, even though it only operates at a lower 4.5min frequency from 6.30am - 7.20am
