If you thought bbdep was bad, you haven't tried buses from hgdep and bndep.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:At least, SLBP could revamp these buses. You could see those LO3x, VO2x and MB 0405. They are well maintained! Not like those in the BBDEP, problems like the rain leaking into the bus. Truthfully, SLBP buses looks cleaner!
tsk tsk tsk, well, everyone is entitiled to their own opinions.Originally posted by 105090:well, looking at your posts, they look very childish demanding and unrealistic sometimes..
anyway, glad u are already past O levels stage..
Sure bo, AMDEP bus always stuck at the first gear. BTW, SLBP most of them do not had that kind of leaking problem..Originally posted by Scania:If you thought bbdep was bad, you haven't tried buses from hgdep and bndep.
amdep also has a good maintenance team, just that some of their Mercs leak at times, but many a times these are rectified.
Honestly speaking, in terms of performance amdep Mercs are better than slbp, slbp ones sound as if they are falling apart soon.
You obviously haven't took the majority of the 400+ Mercs in amdep, They run better. slbp Mercs also emit a lot of heat in to the interior, sitting at the back of a slbp Merc is like sitting in a sauna.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Sure bo, AMDEP bus always stuck at the first gear. Those buses in svc 502, you can take a look at them. Their aircon are blast powerfully! Their interior are clean..Originally posted by Scania:You obviously haven't took the majority of the 400+ Mercs in amdep, They run better. slbp Mercs also emit a lot of heat in to the interior, sitting at the back of a slbp Merc is like sitting in a sauna.
Most of slbp Mercs' exterior don't look nice, especially with the removed dress rims. amdep has dress rims for most of its buses. It is very easy to differenciate an amdep Merc and slbp Merc.
Look at how (former perms in brackets) 202K (am 105), 301H (am 105), 3873D (am 105), 276Y (am 15, 390A (br 231W), and the 105 buses like 467M, 488C, 474S have degraded after shifting from amdep to slbp.
I recommend that you go to amdep areas and take their Mercs to compare.
I would say 410B sounds nicer now than the first few weeks it went to amdep.
Aircon powerful, amdep has loads, express services usually gets more attention. amdep has good buses on feeders, not to say trunk.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Those buses in svc 502, you can take a look at them. Their aircon are blast powerfully! Their interior are clean..
Why do the Mercs retain their dress rims while the Volvo ones were taken off?Originally posted by Scania:You obviously haven't took the majority of the 400+ Mercs in amdep, They run better. slbp Mercs also emit a lot of heat in to the interior, sitting at the back of a slbp Merc is like sitting in a sauna.

Ah, if you dint know, many of the Volvos got their dress rims removed after they left amdep for bndep. The VO3xes still have them though.Originally posted by iveco:Why do the Mercs retain their dress rims while the Volvo ones were taken off?
Yeah..I agree..AMDEP have a better maintenance than SLBP by comparing the exterior of the bus.Btw, BNDEP also does not have a good maintenance on their buses. The exterior of the Scanias were very dirty as compared when they were under AMDEP/BRAM..Originally posted by Scania:Aircon powerful, amdep has loads, express services usually gets more attention. amdep has good buses on feeders, not to say trunk.
Interior cleanliness I must say that it depends on the people who take the bus. 502 usually don't get that much teens, most of them are office workers who are considerate.
You haven't talked about other routes.
Don't forget amdep Mercs sound better maintained than slbp ones.
It seems to me that virtually all B10Ms have had their dress rims taken off. This has been happening since 2002.Originally posted by Scania:Ah, if you dint know, many of the Volvos got their dress rims removed after they left amdep for bndep. The VO3xes still have them though.
IMO, BDK buses slightly better than BBT ones.Originally posted by SBS3625D:If I were to base it on experience, BB and BN have some of the worst buses.

Taken... No comments on you....Originally posted by SBS 233 X:Take me
But from exterior, I think you're only comparing the paintwork...Originally posted by choww:Yeah..I agree..AMDEP have a better maintenance than SLBP by comparing the exterior of the bus.

today spotted 305Y on svc 78 using old 78 desto < Jurong East 78 Clementi >Originally posted by 105090:from the commuters view, or from my view..
BB/AR buses may look a bit broken sometimes.. the mk2 they never repaint into new SBST livery..
in terms of seats, BB/AR replaces the seats instead of patching up. thats good. the interior of buses also quite OK.. BB like most traditional.. likes to keep all the old destos etc.. even rectangle 174M
HG buses.. the NAC mk2 and mk4 DM very bad shape.. the seats always comes out.. but generally, also not bad
AMK and SL generally quite well maintained.. but SL Merc looks quite dusty and tired..
For Bedok, the AC buses sometimes quite warm.. they got large fleets of Scania, Volvo, VO3x.. need to "specialise" in so many models..
AMK and SL mainly specialise in Merc and Leyland
And also some LO3x, like 9024Z, 9042X, 9155D, etc...Originally posted by SBS BUSES LOVER:SL has also refurbished certain 0405 CAC DM interior flooring , like 3754P , 3755L . 3851S , etc . so it is maintaing the buses well .![]()
I have also seen Darts and MK3s (yesterday) leaving SLBP.Originally posted by Scania:Eh amdep does repair other depot's buses, bndep Scanias, Mk4s regularly go to amdep for maintenance. brbp does maintenance for B10TLs, so you see 9889U regularly in brbp and previously, 2988M and 2989K.
bbdep does maintenance of 2647Y.
