WHERE'S ALL THE BENDYS??

wat happened to all the BENDYS??
was at bt panjang int for bout 1/2hr but din see any bendys..
even 180/184 are using rigid.. worse 184 has DAF..
im getting so fed up with SMRT..

869T was on svc 189 today. Sleeping at BB Interchange when you took this photo.
863J should be somewhere else also, possibly split shift on 189 again, but not sure.
Trend is like that, DAFs on 176 for bendies on 189...
If I got power, can lend BP Int 1162S for use on 176. -
oh, a DAF kena smashed into the pillar today. on service 985, accident at PIE/serangoon rd interchange.

why no bendies very simple.. so few people at night why use bendies?
184 go Ngee Ann, sunday no school also...
sundays everyone all stay at home, never go out, so bus less demand ok?
or does it thrill you to be the sole passenger in a bendy bus? -

i dont think SBS would deploy many DDs on Sunday night at 9-midnight as well....
some parts of UK even more shiok..
at night, they close the gate to board the second level of their DD to avoid vandalism..... -

Actually, Bendies usually don't appear on 180/184 during Sundays. They use mainly rigid buses like DAFs for instance.

Heard that SMRT is not deploying so much bendies because it wants to cut cost. Im not too sure bout it, but if its true, FARK U SMRT(Bus division nia! Trains section are doing fine..) Frankly speaking, dont you think SMRT is very selfish? SMRT wants to gain control of TIBS to expand its business in order to compete with SBSTransit, but doesn't want to do anything about the buses after gaining control of TIBS, apart from installing EDS inside its buses, which i think is rather useless...
I've nvr used the system at all! 
I would rather SMRT use the money on buying more new buses...

I even board TIB1025E on 180 on a Sun afternoon bef...
FYI, large number of Bendies are depolyed on high demand Svcs on Wkends/PHs and MB O405s and Hino Volgrens are depolyed as replacments so only a few bendies are spotted on 180/184 on this period of time.

Therefore, Wkend/PHs early morning or late night doesn't have bendies on 180/184. -

On 179, Sunday nights, 4 LOs and 1 Merc will be deployed, at 8min freq. This is even better than weekday nights, where only 3 LOs and 2 Merc will be deployed at 8min freq!
The worse night is on Saturday, when 2 LO and 2 Merc will be deployed, giving a freq of 10min. -

its all supply and demand.. low demand, then normal bus, high demand, maybe bendies -
If you still see gaps in between the passengers, it's not THAT packed. Also, SMRT can justify that their buses can cope with the load as there's no passengers stranded at bus stop.Originally posted by manjieass:once again im not promoting..

HOLY COW! I didn't see a SINGLE BENDY at BP at around 10.30! In the past, during sundays, there is at least 2 bendies! Btw which bendy is your favourite model? The first will have to go to the Volgren bendy, followed by the box bendy. You might be surprised why i like this ugly and lousy bus right? The reason is simple. This bus is so mucher more quieter on the inside(refering to engine noise) as compared to the Habits! I dont have any ear pains after taking a ride on it. Secondly, the bus changes gear rather smoothly(on 190,300 and 176), especially the ones that lock-ups on the first gear! Anyone here are fans of the MKI bendies?

They got such ruling that less bendys are deployed on sundays to save cost.
FYI taking pics inside interchanges is disallowed for security reasons
