Am I in the wrong for being chossy in buses?

Today I was at one of the particular bus stops at Sengkang and was waiting for Sv 89 or Sv 27 to Hougang Int.
After a while, I saw two Sv 89 buses at the traffic light junction. At the front was a VO3x (SBS9208K) while the bus behind is a DT(SBS9682Z). I planned to take the DT, and started to walk a bit back. When the both bus arrived, I flagged for the DT but the BC wave at me to take the bus infront so I ran foward and wave at the BC when I reached the front of the door. He did not respond and did not look at me. I tried another time by knocking on the glass door, but he also don't care. After that he drove off leaving me there like an idiot!
So I wonder whether is it I am in the wrong??

For me I will just bang like hell if he dun care simple...I will just threaten to report him.

gorby, me being an 89 regular, it is not adviseable for you to do the same stunt again for 89 or 27. Both svcs are packed for time and the BCs are understandeably less inclined to pick you up. For both svcs it is common practice to alternate bus-stops whenever 2 come together. If you wanna take tridents, if you have time to spare, try waiting for 1. It won't take very long cos 89 has the largest fleet on tridents with 6.
Technically of course, the trident is obliged to pick you up.

No..U are not wrong.Some of the BC are like that.When there are 2 same services together, they will do alternate bus stop.

next time just board the bus that is in front, or the bus which is stopping..
naturally, the Trident behind wont let you board.. unless the driver has someone wishing to alight from the stop..
dont try this stunt whe you see an aircon and non-aircon bus back to back

I also had a similar experience... Once I was waiting for bus to take me from Bedok North Avenue 1 to Bedok Interchange. A 87 came and stopped, but the bus was full. I saw a 60 behind and it was not full, so I flagged to the 60. But the 60 driver, seeing the 87 in front, point to the 87 and then skipped the bus stop. Feeling lan-lan, I went back to the 87, but the 87 driver refused to open the front door because the bus was full. So in the end I missed 2 buses... Luckily, minutes later I was "rescued" by an empty 17A... When the 17A turned into Bedok Interchange, I saw the 60 leaving the interchange, and I gave an angry stare to the 60 driver... (At least I'm courteous enough not to show my middle finger)

As for me, if i were headed from Orchard to Upp Thomson and saw 167 (Dennis Lance) behind 162 (DM3500), I'll get the Lance.

It's not wrong for you to choose buses. But it's better not to be too choosy about the buses next time if there is only one buses of their individual services arriving at the bus stop.
When you went over to the back to take SBS 9682Z, a DT, the BC ordered you to go to the front to take. But if the front bus (SBS 9208K) got away when you tried to attract the attention of the BC on SBS 9208K, it's better to get onto the DT and still have time to reach to your destination.

Usually, I will try to take CAC Volvos, even if it means transferring like 7 buses to get home instead of the usual 2 or 3. If there are 2 buses, usually the BC will let me board coz as you know, it is possible for 3 30s to come at once - 1 super late, 1 on time, 1 super early.

SBS 9682 Z is a Dennis Trident ( only 20 in S'pore ). If you do not take 89 / 80 / other svc with perm Dennis Trident daily, to take one svc with cameo DT is rare.
But 89 got perm Dennis Trident.
