Dont think so, that cost them 100+ million. But anyway what bus model would you like to see? I want to see the Mercedes OC500LE or the Citaro! seriously, i think SMRT is having a big problem.. so many kawasaki trains are old + nissan cac/oac and then + the scania elbo/wa tat rocks like hell.. if they solve all these problems then i think SMRT would be perfect..

What I'm trying to say, if we are thinking of all the best case scenarios, we wouldn't have any more ideas or feedbacks to contribute to our bus companies. As of now, SMRT had submitted proposals to enchance services in one of their towns. This is all the information I got from their reply. So let's hope for the best, if these proposals are approved, we see new buses.

As and when the time comes, SMRT will get new buses and we will see new SMRT buses on the road. The old buses will be retired sooner or later and then new buses will definitely be brought in. All of us are anxious but there's nothing we can do but wait.

Your so called 'big' problem only focuses on the buses and trains. Sure, they are old but they are still working aren't they? The trains still run, the buses still run, you get to your destination. The above statements are just your personal rants, if you ask me. i feel that this is a commuter way of thinking cos we're all bus and train fans here... but if got read news they say SMRT buses' business isnt exactly as good as sbst... so if business is bad they wont get buses... besides their trains should get their revamp... 20 years old, i've seen loose parts almost fallin off in 077/078 train... and some others too... with air con condenser leaks and warm stale air...

As of now, SMRT had submitted proposals to enchance services in one of their towns. This is all the information I got from their reply. So let's hope for the best, if these proposals are approved, we see new buses.

Yes.. I do agree that no feedbacks = no improvement.. But have you guys thought about it ? Is your feedback constructive or not constrctive at all ? This is where it lies the main problem. In other countries, when the people give feedbacks, they feedback in a way that they are not scolding or complaining to the companies. They feedback on HOW the company should improve in some areas that they are not doign well in. Over here, from the experience of reading the STI and from various Forums, it seems that you guys are too pampered. And alot of times, i see no constructive stuff inside the so called "Feedbacks" to the companies. All i see are hatred words inside as if the writer is trying to get back to the company. I'm not pointing fingers. But you guys go ahead and think about it. Is YOUR feedback a good one ? Or is it just a flaming letter trying to think about it ?
