i believe CSS186L, CSS194M and CSS203X went to SMRT...[i might b wrong] but these buses have not been seen on CSS608 for quite a while
Not any bus can be converted to low entry or WABs. The bus chassis itself has to be a LE chassis. For example, the B10Ms, or in this instance, the UDs, cannot be converted to WABs due to the chassis structure.Originally posted by swee_heng:i dont think SMRT will buy new buses. They may just convert their current Nissan Diesels to WABs.![]()
What about the VO2x, VO3x and LO3x? Are they LE and can they be converted to WABs?Originally posted by off_service:Not any bus can be converted to low entry or WABs. No, they are not low-floor, they have steps.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:What about the VO2x, VO3x and LO3x? Are they LE and can they be converted to WABs?
You forgot about the ELBOs. They should be the first low-floor/LE buses. Should be LE, cuz only the entry is stepless, the exit has a step.Originally posted by Scania:The Scania L113CRL however, is a low floor chassis, just that TIBS went to put an aircon underneath, if not, Scania L113CRLs would be the first low floor buses.
IMO.
I wouldn't qualify that, it isn't low floor to the rear door, like what a real low floor bus would be.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:You forgot about the ELBOs. They should be the first low-floor/LE buses. Should be LE, cuz only the entry is stepless, the exit has a step.
Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Eh yes but I don't think its the basic chassis, its just at the standard height, N is the engine position, 11 is the engine displacment in liters, 3 is the series, R or L at the second last letter represents which side the bus driver drive on.
So maybe the N113CRB represents the basic/standard bus?? Whereas, CRL represents low-floor?

Two wrong decisions done by both operators on the same kind of buses, IMO.
Did the SBSL Soon Chow Scanias have low-floor bodies as well? Or the same thing as SMRT Scanias?Originally posted by swee_heng:where did ComfortDelgro sell their L113CRL to? i can only see 3 of them PA908L , PA912Z and PA919E to Westpoint. What about the rest?
SMRT always make wrong decisions with their buses
Yes low floor.Originally posted by stooper:Did the SBSL Soon Chow Scanias have low-floor bodies as well? Or the same thing as SMRT Scanias?
I have to agree with you on this. Singaporeans only know how to complain but do not suggest. Making matters worse, their complains are things that is impossible for the transport companies to make real. I mean, 5 minutes frequency for buses, travel at very fast speeds and buy new buses without fare increases? C'mon, wake up, we are not living in a utopiaOriginally posted by sBs_boy:Yes.. I do agree that no feedbacks = no improvement.. But have you guys thought about it ? Is your feedback constructive or not constrctive at all ? This is where it lies the main problem. In other countries, when the people give feedbacks, they feedback in a way that they are not scolding or complaining to the companies. They feedback on HOW the company should improve in some areas that they are not doign well in. Over here, from the experience of reading the STI and from various Forums, it seems that you guys are too pampered. And alot of times, i see no constructive stuff inside the so called "Feedbacks" to the companies. All i see are hatred words inside as if the writer is trying to get back to the company. I'm not pointing fingers. But you guys go ahead and think about it. Is YOUR feedback a good one ? Or is it just a flaming letter trying to think about it ? Think about it before you give any other "Flaming" Letter.
Singaporeans will only happy when the Transport Companies buy 16 Seater 12M buses with them arriving with a 1Min Frequency.Originally posted by simnatic:I have to agree with you on this.
