Since SMRT taken over TIBS.
SMRT has done nothing to improve the buses.
It only cares for it's trains...
Done nothing for the bus.

Actually, 20 years is nothing for trains. Trains are really built to last (unless they are made by cheapskate china companies). Other countries have electric trains which are over 60 years old and still running in regular passenger service. Can i just clarify if the life span of buses is 17 or 15 years? i don think sgp govt will use china stuffs for long running.. they rather use european or japanese which are known for durable and quality stuffs (except for nissan nac/cac/oac) right??

Their bodywork are also very striking! Yea, if only TIBS had bought more volgren bendy instead of those Habits! Since the Habits are special or unique, they shld have bought them in small quantities, AND BUY MORE VOLGREN BENDIES! 
Then Kranji depot will get some Volgren bendies and use it on 176! But that will never happen , cause SMRT are required to buy WAB in the future.And the production of the O405/G might have stopped, replaced by the OC500LE. You may want the Volgren bodywork fitted on the OC500LE the next time. 
Eh guys, can anyone tell me why does the Volgren bendies sound different from other bendies( MKI, MKII, some Habits)? Different engine or power outputs? -

I do not think they have done any excellent maintenance, as some SMRT trains have been observed to have uneven engine sounds, strange noises from one of the engine components, and extremely poor air ventilation in the unrefurbished 1st-gen units. And they will always only show you the good side, not the bad side. 2G and 3G trains on SMRT's current network have had these fault occurrences before if you observe carefully.
Talk about excellent maintenance. It's not true. Excellent maintenance means all trains are fault-free. One strange occurrence such as those I described means poor maintenance IMHO.
The unrefurbished 1st-generation Kawasaki units have a very interesting air-conditioning system indeed... -

Easy solution........just strip 179+ Habits of ther body........sell the kits or use it as spare parts and send the chassis to Australia for rebodyong with Volgren.( Any better ideas?)
