SBST bought new buses?

Sorry, STOMP again...but most importantly is the news.
Some guy send in to STOMP saying that the buses is damn old & non-aircon and complained that the high fee for getting those "lousy services".
So STOMP contacted SBST and SBST gave them a reply...
"SBS has been acquiring new buses and has just spent $100million on 200 new buses.
Anyone know whats the model of this new bus? I thought they wanted to buy Mercedes dunno what single decker to replace Volvo Mark II + Scania but the plan was like unheard or cancelled. -

no wat...they should be buying another new batch to replace the older buses aka Volvo Mark II & Scania....

B9TL are bought to replace the MK II.. or else what do u think they are bought for?
And since it is DD, it might even replace some of the Scania as they got seating capacity and can take more passengers. -
Usually, SBS would buy a similar bus to replace the outgoing bus. For example, the B10M was a replacement for the B57 while the O405 were for the OF1413/1417. I feel that the B9TL was the long overdue replacement for the 200 LO 2X. It makes a bit of sense as SBS purchased 50 B10TL and this is followed by the initial order of 150 B9TL. I feel we will see the arrival of a new stepless entry SD in the future for the B10M Mk-II. A Volvo model (again) is expected of course, but, who knows, we might also see one from another manufacturer.

another ting i wanna ask is has any1 seen 2888T cameo or have a photo of it?
will SBST or SMRT buy open-top buses for svces that pass thru the city? -

Don't be sad. Its just that the time hasn't come for the SD yet. The last withdrawal were for the LO2X, so here are their replacements. Next up, we will likely see new SD for the Mk II, N113 and O405 over the next 3-5 years. 1688 and 2888 were trial buses. Its good to try out something new (in this case, stepless buses) before deciding to push forward and buy in bulk. Some trial buses had proven their worth while many others had failed. SBST has already bought more B10BLE. The Gassies, remember? I won't be surprised if SBST introduce a WAB SD after the B9TL. -

SBST can always make full DD fleets on certain svcs so their current SDs can be redeployed to those svcs which routes DDs cannot ply...

You would know that it is a rumor when SBST did NOT annouce anything about this and that we have seen no news about that particular bus. If they had really bought that bus, we would have heard news about a SD WABs. And if you think that the thread is NOT a rumor but a Fact, Why dont YOU show me dsome concrete prove that it is a Fact and that SBST is buying that particular model ? If you think that you are very sure of what the thread is saying... PROVE ME WRONG with Evidences. If not, I would suggest it as a case close. That is just a rumor, whatever thing which is not verified by any company is a rumor, what if I say Y_shun loves a particular Miss X and I keep saying he loves, it is still a rumor what you KID. CHECK THE DICTIONARY MEANING OF RUMOR BEFORE YOU POST.
I have asked a B9TL driver whether they have other new buses, he say don't have.
I ask you if you prove that there are other new buses, WHERE IS YOUR PROOF? The company dint even say a single thing about another new bus, SO HOW ARE THEY GOING TO SAY THAT THEY HAVE NEW BUSES OTHER THAN B9TLS?

Nobody knows if theres new buses or even if theres NO new buses.
You all also don't have any proof that there isn't any new buses?? (Ohh, oh, you said you asked the BCs)
Asking the BCs? they in management meh? Why not you ask the buying department(whatever you call) in SBST whether there are new buses? Even if they are buying new buses, would they even tell us? Doubt they will even reply you, thats why discussions comes.
And look, I was just enquiring about this, I didn't even stress theres surely a new bus.
If you all just care about route amendment, bus trips you took, bus cameos, I think all these forums should rather close down since it is useless.
Even starting a topic(that you say it is not real/true) that is different & something worth to discuss is so hard, and you get responses such as "case closed", "not possible", "rumour"...what for having any forums? Rumours(whether or not there is substantial proof) sometimes are also worth to discuss...
If you think it is not worth to discuss, then don't reply to the topic =)
