Accident outside Hougang MRT

Erm, if u had read the about this accident, I think what you said is pretty unkind, childish, and lack sensitivity. I dare not send my friend regards or ask her how's her brother's condition is now cause scare she may be very emotionally unstable now and need some peace to calm down and maybe by sending regards to her, it may cause her to think of his accident again.

yup.. he's better.. he is my friend.. seriously.. screw the driver.. to think he still can apologize and run away after that.. he was in ICU yesterday.. he can't even speak yesterday and he had to use alphabets to tell us.. and he had a liver operation last night.. today when i visit him.. he's slight better.. can talk already..Originally posted by Chelzea:critical condition de is it he ok?

Remember the old major accident @ Bendemeer Rd which two sisters were killed by a car which the driver was using handphones while driving,Eventually he was banned from driving for 5-7 years only w/o jail sentences.He use a good lawyer as his father own a car shops.Sometimes it's very cruel living in SG,Imagine if the driver is a truck driver/Cabbie/Bus driver,The least he will be put in jail besides banned from driving!

It's like that what. If you can afford a good lawyer to help fight the case, good lor. But certain facts are still facts. If one commit a crime without mitigating factors, there's still a limit to what a lawyer can do.

This is why I'm getting more disappointed with Singaporeans. This brings to mind another accident I read about. Can't remember much, but it said that someone failed trying to appeal his sentence in court. Apparently, he ran over a rich man who was jaywalking, and just because that dead person (and their family) is rich, the person who ran over him (who is actually quite poor) has to pay extravagant sums of money to their family. Someone's literally paying the price of a wrong of another person, just because he has the money.
Our moral, justice, and other timeless ethical values have become warped with money, selfishness, greed, and materialism...

imagine, if i am on bus SV 62 and am rushing for work/school, and suddenly this accident happen. will you still think of the breakdown ticket? you will be so anxious to look for alternative transport, and might even have to take taxi or day off. the cost of taxi fare should be many times the value of that breakdown ticket.. -

once in your life, if u have crashed your vehicle on singapore roads before, then your driving skills is considered weak and below-average already, this is the hard truth
then u are not that type who can do it fast,
in future, better keep to the left and observe speed limit and driving like a P or L-plate driver
frankly speaking, singaporeans are generally very poor and weak in their driving and steering wheel control. On our roads, you don't see many drivers signalling when making a turn or changing lanes, this is because most singaporeans are actually not skilful enough to signal, check mirrors and turn their steering wheel at the same time in one movement and at high speed, shame on these people who have difficulty signalling, To put it bluntly, these bunch of pathetic poor drivers are either having problems with their hand coordinations and steering wheel control, or are extremely poor in spatial ability road navigation and indecisive on which route to use. This handicapped phenomena is apparent among speedsters and inexperienced taxi drivers who are not able to signal when they are speeding. These bunch of drivers whose skills and techniques are below average should go and enrol for driving refresher's course and polish up their god damn driving skills. -
