An example from SBS853GOriginally posted by carbikebus:That SBS656J & SBS853G Of S5 had very special guide rack just behind the BC cabin?

Nothing will happen trust me unless he really zoom offOriginally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Bus overshooting the stop line. It happens. Why the big fuss? You need super quick reactions when the lights suddenly turn amber and a big bus takes a longer distance to stop.
Oh, speaking about the red light camera, there was once when I took a VO2x on sv. 10 (as you can see it happened a long time ago) and the driver slammed the brakes at one junction. Unfortunately, he still overshoots the line but it was enough to trigger the camera. Flash! Flash! The driver cursed out loud.
Hey everytime i heard from you is nothing good about buses,You anti-buses and drivers is it?Then you expect the driver to beat the lights? On the road everything can happen you know?Originally posted by 105090:car length is shorter. the front part of a car from the front wheel is much shorter (less than 60cm) than a bus (more than 1 metre)
and really, buses overshooting the line is really bad..
BAD![]()

Buses are heavier than cars and can cause more harm if they hit people or other vehicles. The same applies with trucks.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:If you have nothing good or useful to post in here, don't bother wasting the forum's bandwidth. Your comments are just a waste of space.
Car is car, bus is bus, please do not compare both. You are like comparing apple with pear. Get this straight.
A few weeks back SBS9844 or 9845(161) got flashed by the red light camera at Wdl Ave 2 and 5 junction. The bus was seen moving when the lights were still green, but just before it cross the line, the green light change to amber light. And the bus went through.Originally posted by carbikebus:Nothing will happen trust me unless he really zoom off
it might not be the bus who activate the camera. it might some other car on other lane.Originally posted by bus911:A few weeks back SBS9844 or 9845(161) got flashed by the red light camera at Wdl Ave 2 and 5 junction. Just wondering, will the BC be penalised in such case?
The Driver will not be in any trouble IF the front of the bus is already more than Half of the yellow box.Originally posted by bus911:A few weeks back SBS9844 or 9845(161) got flashed by the red light camera at Wdl Ave 2 and 5 junction. Facts about Dennis Tridents
1. The seating configuration on Tridents on the front of the upper deck is different from others. It is made to face the side...and there's only one seat there, so if you want to get that seat, grab them asap or better still, take from the interchange.
2. The positioning of the rego on Tridents are funny.
3. Tridents don't have the 'Bus Stopping' text. It uses some light instead.
4. And there are safeguards at the entrance of Tridents!

Isn't this because of the newer stringent standards set? For smrt at least, they require their driver to be friendly of somehting...lol...heard some service captains said...Originally posted by carbikebus:That more than expected Singaporeans join SBST & SMRTB last year?

A jucier detail would be.......
The tridents appear to be getting their seat cushions replaced. From beige to red. But that was such a long time ago, I dunno if the tridents have all had their seats changed.

Ya...and do you think that the BC also did that for the thrill? He would know better than to purposely stop at the pedestrian crossing. This is a 'bo pian' case, if you ask me. The BC got no choice. And please la, how much space do you need to avoid a pedestrian? Just shift right a bit, can already. You will pass the pedestrian safely while still remaining in your lane. It is not a big fuss, you know. Stop thinking so much.Originally posted by 105090:think about this:
the bus stopped beyond the stop line.
pedestrians are going to cross in front of the bus, and possibly onto oncoming traffic's way and lane.
oncoming traffic will have to drive more towards the right, as such, there will be a lot of avoiding, pedestrians and traffic
one misjudgement may be disastrous.
of course, nobody wants the bus to beat red lights or break any traffic rules, but think of what will happen...
you think i say all that for the thrill?
You know something of on the road tolerancy and understandable? You must at least possess class 2B/3 and better 4 & 5Originally posted by 105090:think about this:
