Bus plates are put up along the route, i saw mine at Marine Crescent[os Blk 34].
I believe sv196A will begin on Monday
They are located on the left side. DAF also.Originally posted by iveco:What about Volvo and Scania? Where are their indicator stalks located?
Should either be SBS 0680M or SBS 0769S since both of them bears the same Courts Megastore ad, but both buses unconfirmed of new rego.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:i saw a HGDEP 34 mark III with new rego plate like the amdep/brbp MB0405 WA..forgot the rego but is courts tampines ad
not too sure is perm or cameo but is SBS6XXX
How about the MANs?Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:They are located on the left side. DAF also.
Why is it so? Because 608 was pulled?Originally posted by Acx1688:Sv196A extended to start from Lagoon View, ending at MAS Building[Sheton Way]

Then that time this bus broke down due to a faulty door.Originally posted by muziq bus:Back then on 947, TIB 954E had faulty speed indicator. The needle did not move at all. It was at 0 struggling to go to 5km/h mark.
Hino Volgrens indicate to drivers that they are hitting the brakes.
A red light appears everytime the driver step on the brake pedals.
its SBS769S as i can recall nowOriginally posted by TWS4793:Should either be SBS 0680M or SBS 0769S since both of them bears the same Courts Megastore ad, but both buses unconfirmed of new rego.
From what I know, SBS 0678X and SBS 0744M are the only two 34 HGDEP buses to have new regos so far.
The smaller WA rego use Webasto units. They aren't seen on the OAC DMs though. The higher rego WA use Fuji units.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:a/c plants
another thing anyone notice SBS82P-SBS181L use different plants with SBS182J-SBS281G... the SBS182J-SBS281G are more reliable and cooler...furthermore they can be seen on many of the MB0405 DM...
MB0405 DM have 3 different a/c plants..one is Sutrak and the other two i think is fuji (not sure)...take a look if ur on AMDEP 73 SBS410B, SBS465T and SBS543B have different a/c plants
MB0405 CAC DM also...SBS3769Y is sutrak (BRBP 235), SBS3774G i think is webasto (not sure), SBS3777Z i think is fuji (not sure)...
all must look from outside to tell the difference
oK WA O.405s correct.Originally posted by stooper:The smaller WA rego use Webasto units. They aren't seen on the OAC DMs though. The higher rego WA use Fuji units.
Yes for the OAC DMs, the other 2, which look exactly like the WA higher rego are Fujis as well.
The Sutrak and Webasto units are much cooler than the Fuji units.
Inside also can tell the different type of A/C units by looking at the filter mounted on the roof under the A/C position. Different A/C will use different types of filter, with the Fuji filters being the smallest of all the SBST Mercs...![]()
Most between SBS42E to SBS199L (amdep buses) are on, they haven't touched 200+ for some reasons.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:anyway under AMDEP/BRBP SBS82P-SBS181L most buses have rego changed..
all of the OAC scanias too and SBS187X
My guess would be that people really like to go to Vivocity. Last year both me and my father was going to Sentosa for a dinner when there was a big traffic jam at almost the whole stretch of road just outside Vivocity (not sure of that road name)! My father's car even pulled up behind SBS 0754J on Service 100, so I took the advantage of capturing the back of the bus with my camera phone.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:anyone wonder why is the stretch of road to VivoCity so heavily congested?
from what i'd observed, i think its because of:
BOTTLENECK #1:
- Cars from both directions: Lower Delta Rd and Keppel Rd; are joining in the great congestion. and sometimes trailers to PSA terminal/port also clog up the road.
BOTTLENECK #2:
- the traffic junction to Sentosa - cars are rushing towards the left lane to turn into Gateway Ave, causing a bottleneck. and worse still, public buses are trying to get into the bus-stop bay before Gateway Ave and then trying to get out of it! (though more BCs are giving up on this bus-stop and skipping it)
BOTTLENECK #3:
- and at the same time, cars are rushing to turn out from Gateway Ave into Telok Blangah Rd.
BOTTLENECK #4:
- cars are rushing to the left lane to turn into VivoCity carpark
I believe the builders of Vivocity got to seek LTA's approval before their building plan is approved. But why didn't LTA realise such problems beforehand and work out on minimising the impact with Vivocity???
the same applies to AMKHub.
And should our public bus operators seek compensation from LTA for upsetting their bus schedules? coz of the time wasted being trapped in the traffic jam and result in economic and financial losses!
Telok Blangah Rd. Many people know that Vivocity is opposite Sentosa, but dunno that the road outside is Telok Blangah Rd.Originally posted by TWS4793:My guess would be that people really like to go to Vivocity. My friend did also raise this concern in his blog about the heavy traffic jam at Vivocity that area while he was on Service 145 on his way back to his house in Telok Banglah.

What's with Ngee Ann City? Anyway, VivoCity got no ERP gantries nearby. Nice suburban mall for those living on the south coast (CLE, Pasir Panjang, BMR).Originally posted by service_238:that's because people like to park at the multi storey carpark instead of the basement one... cos that's accessible from Gateway Ave.
Dont worry Vivo is new... hope its not another Ngee Ann City can liao
If that's the case,Originally posted by TWS4793:SBS 9145H (168 AMDEP) have new purple and orange EZ-Link card readers.
