Drink ad at bus stops gets canned
SINGAPORE : Just three days after last Friday’s launch of an unusual ad campaign for new beverages “Anything” and “Whatever”, the advertisers have pulled the displays — featuring empty cans — from 450 bus stops islandwide.
The reason? Some elderly people who sell empty cans for extra income have been harvesting the displays. Other curious members of the public lifted the flaps of the cans to confirm if they were empty, leading to concerns voiced by several MediaCorp hotline callers about rainwater collecting and becoming breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Although the campaign was supposed to have run for a month, marketing consultants Out of the Box decided on Monday to dismantle the displays, after nine in 10 were damaged; the losses totalled $50,000.
Nevertheless, managing director Johnson Tan said it had achieved its “objectives of creating mass awareness and attention”. -
No lah, is 839E & 842U having the Lance windscreen & EDS box.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:besides TIB833X and TIB842U spotting a different type of front desto EDS design, TIB839E also looks similar to these 2 buses.

That Means By Either 20 May, 26 May Or 27 May 2007, 502 should have DDs deployed. What Shift A/P/T? Well, any shift also I will be able to spot since 502 passes by Orchard Road where I frequent on Sat and Suns.
Edit: BTW: I was at Orchard today, didn't see any DDs on 502.
No, they use spare bus from former Svc 143.Originally posted by stooper:I rather they dump the VO3x on 502, then return the LO3x to 179...![]()

833X has the original wrap-around windscreen, before TIBS decided to split it into 3 parts.

There is a poster in Hougang Interchange (Near the Information Counter). I forgot what it is for, but there is a bus in the poster. Can anyone guess what the bus is and the service it was on?
Hint: The bus is stil on it's perm service.
Don't need what, 5 got DDs enough already (taking into account Bukit Panjang dint have the present population at that time). The most important thing in Bukit Panajng is 190 (CCK route group), without 190 or its high capacity buses (DDs and bendies), Bukit Panjang and CCk will suffer.Originally posted by iveco:that ADDs never had a chance to serve on the BPJ route group at all?
Is it like Strider/DM3500?Originally posted by choww:No pics
The seats behind the driver and near the desto are abit different..The rest behind are the same..Go board it and you will know..
It would run 4 trips on Express 502 everyday. Mostly start from the late afternoon to the night time. This is a perm bus on this service and not an crossover from other services.Originally posted by samtlk:wef 21 May. Mon-Sat. Off on Sun. Shift 13P.
Is convenient & Corporation Primary School.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Service 185 was proposed by the Dr Amy Khor together with their grassroots leaders. In the recent Hong Kah North brochure, it stated that Dr Amy Khor and with her grassroots leaders, lobbied hard to convince SBST that the service would make life a whole lot more convienient in Jurong West, as well as for students of Coporation Primary School. Finally, service 185 started on 26 December 2006. A photo of SBS 539P (Cameo) on svc 185 was taken and showing lots of people boarding the bus.

Well, if no one could guess it, the bus in the poster is SBS 0603L on Service 38.Originally posted by TWS4793:There is a poster in Hougang Interchange (Near the Information Counter). I believe Svc 5 would have gotten ADDs if it hadn't been handed over to Tibs.Originally posted by Scania:Don't need what, 5 got DDs enough already (taking into account Bukit Panjang dint have the present population at that time).
