Yeah, higher RPM. It is supposed to keep the alternator charging and also provides more compressed air even though the bus is idling.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Actually the NBS is a good thing for the ELBOs you know? I remember taking TIB847G on 970 (cameo), it has rather bad rattling, seats vibrate, windows vibrate and doors vibrate.![]()
But when the NBS kicks in, the rattling has been cut down a little bit, meaning rattling is not as worse. Maybe this is because when the NBS kicks in, the engine runs at a higher RPM? What does the NBS do actually? What is its purpose?

i've said this when it was de-registered on 1st July..Originally posted by SBS9888Y:SAD NEWS!
SBS82P has been de-registeredthis bus is a good bus...hopefully they re-register them again just like SBS3675J and SBS3668E...
suspected replacements for SBS82P and SBS3677D are SBS153T and SBS573P
looks like some of the 0405s will go even before the B10M Mark II and Scania N113CRB
Cheers!more new buses for BRBP/AMDEP!
Hmm ... I got a question to ask . Why is it that Batch 1 ZF Habits sound and 'behave' slightly different from batch 2 ZF Habits ? Batch 1 ZF Habits seems like a tad slower and the engine is always like 'in constant strain' . Im very confused about this .Originally posted by carbikebus:Volgren bendies uses the same engine as Habits,The engine sound powerful but still lack behind box ones although i don't really fav the box.But SMRTB are keen about speed limiter nowadays due to traffic speeding summons.

The first LO3x to get refurbished was 9188J (bram 88 ), in 2002. Celing change to plastic, seat change to 2nd and 3rd Batch VO3x kind.Originally posted by TWS4793:A new celling for SBS 9026T (168 AMDEP) was retrofitted to the first deck of the bus. This celling is made of moulded plastic, which is similiar to those which VO3Xes have but of a different material of those commonly found on other LO3Xes (the cellings on a normal LO3X are made of leather).
Bus with one of the weird looking rego plate is SBS 0413T (SP SLBP).
Same for 9024Z. I believe they just ripped off the original leather cover, leaving it with bare plastic.Originally posted by TWS4793:A new celling for SBS 9026T (168 AMDEP) was retrofitted to the first deck of the bus. This celling is made of moulded plastic,

Then we also must introduce sbs9806j should be friendly one, cos attitude also veri de wat.Originally posted by SBS9806J:Well, of course passengers should not beat up BCs, but some of the BC attitudes are really horrible. If SBST can introduce a 'Stop Abusing BC' campaign, can't they also introduce a 'BC must be friendly' campaign as well?
I like the new interior cover in the upper deck on SBS 9214S.. By the way, SBS 9214S really got a very cold A/C..Originally posted by stooper:Same for 9024Z. I believe they just ripped off the original leather cover, leaving it with bare plastic. But for 9024Z's the upper deck, they put in darker leather covers.
Thanks to some kaypoh peoples who complain SMRT Buses run very fast,From the SLs itself,Traffic summons.Originally posted by jetabt767400:Some KJDEP buses can no longer run fast, due to the speed limiter back in service. Like 597C, took it and it was coughing to get to 60km/h, more than that a bit hard liao. Try again and see how...
