I think it's either SBS 3661Z or SBS 3663T that have such hand grips.
104k is major, the flooring, reg plate, paintOriginally posted by Scania:Can name you a few, 82P (this one just cover the emergency exits on roof, no reflooring, though got painting), 85G, 86D, 99S, 112L, 129P, 156K, 157H, 192E, 200R.
Cos SLBP is like a boss! hahaz.. I think most SL buses went for reflooring, repainting .. Even some had their bell changed! More importantly, I can say most of these aircon buses are much cooler!Originally posted by TWS4793:It's not only the CAC Mercs (Why always mention SLBP but not other depots?) that have the old circular hand grips replaced with the triangular ones. I would think that amdep, hgdep and bndep has done no less than what slbp did in refurbishing the buses. However, some depots just can't maintain their buses properly, even with good air con, the heat insulation near the engine needs replacing in order to prevent hot air from escaping into the cabin.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Cos SLBP is like a boss! hahaz.. Ever depot would had it flaws but I dun see why some depot having their Old scania looks like a scrap metal, ageing in exterior, weak air-conditional and dunno why the bus rattle so much..Originally posted by Scania:I would think that amdep, hgdep and bndep has done no less than what slbp did in refurbishing the buses. Luckily some depot only has a few of them, and only one of them has that problem now, not like another depot who has nearly 200 of the same model having similar signs of dis-repair and even to the point whereby some of them look as if they CMI. This is different from another depot which has more of the same model but less of such badly maintained buses.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Ever depot would had it flaws but I dun see why some depot having their Old scania looks like a scrap metal, ageing in exterior, weak air-conditional and dunno why the bus rattle so much..
We can see some depot only concentrate on maintaining one type of buses but left another type of buses in criticial condition. There is one depot who only start to refurbish their bus after one does and that is someone who commented that their maintenance job are so good but just test it out today they still got hot air coming in from the rear and whopping engine.Originally posted by Scania:Luckily some depot only has a few of them, and only one of them has that problem now, not like another depot who has nearly 200 of the same model having similar signs of dis-repair and even to the point whereby some of them look as if they CMI. At least that depot can maintain many kinds of buses well, not like what you said, neglect other buses. And the other depot only knows how to poorly maintain 5 kinds of buses. Also the depot started refurb their buses since April or May (many people here can vouch for it), not like some depot, September or October. At least that depot only minority got a bit of problem, not like some other depot which has majoirty of their buses with hot air coming out.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:We can see some depot only concentrate on maintaining one type of buses but left another type of buses in criticial condition. even you say that the scania bus is old.. It is alrd 18 years and will be scrapped next year.. Do u expect to be brand new in exterior?Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Ever depot would had it flaws but I dun see why some depot having their Old scania looks like a scrap metal, ageing in exterior, weak air-conditional and dunno why the bus rattle so much..
I don't know about you but I found it entertaining.Originally posted by ^tamago^:I see someone talking about one depot over and over again.![]()
Even so, the CRBs have every ounce of respect from me. THey will remain my all-time favourite rigid buses.Originally posted by lemon1974:even you say that the scania bus is old.. It is alrd 18 years and will be scrapped next year.. Do u expect to be brand new in exterior?
Me too . Still retaining its power even after a long year in its service line.Originally posted by iveco:Even so, the CRBs have every ounce of respect from me. THey will remain my all-time favourite rigid buses.
Ya, some of the depot neglect the maintainance job and now transfer their buses to another depot. You can see another depot need to help them change the headlights, rearlights and even the service plates display light. Hahaz, I think someone is not showing facts here. I think the depot you are always proud out it seems to disappoint u as they only start refurbish their buses on early july whereas another depot start at early May with even one of their buses get the interior ceiling replaced. Above hot air, i would admit them most buses from every depot had this problem only it is serious or not that serious. Just like the respraying job by some depot and another depot.Originally posted by Scania:At least that depot can maintain many kinds of buses well, not like what you said, neglect other buses. Hmm looks like the same format used for Service 21 square side destos. From PSR - St Mikes' square side desto is top red bottom white; From St Mikes' Term to Pasir Ris square side desto is top white bottom red. Interesting idea..Originally posted by SBS9889U:Sv60 got new front square desto (The red and white plate).
Now is Red top and white bottom and white top and red bottom instead of purely red and purely white, abit confusing
This new desto should be in use already although most 60 buses still use the older version.
