For cosmetic I dun think SLBP is lag behind. After pointing out so many points, I felt that both depot are doing about the same. Just rmb of one problem that some MB0405 in AM have. ah, VO2x and VO3x came in....but some VO3x which came in went back to bbdep or as went far as hgdep.
You say that slbp maintenance can maintain buses, but compare slbp B9TLs and hgdep/amdep B9TLs....a world apart again. Vibration is pronunced on the slbp ones and the hgdep/amdep ones are not so.
Compare LO3x wit AM? U would know the difference.. The refurbish job too.. -

amdep did the very first LO3x refurb in 2002, 9188J.
amdep did a major refurb this year on a VO3x, 9378C.
slbp replaced the interior of the fronts of 9038J and 9058B with metal which seems to be gotten hastily. They just painted blue (9038J) and white (9058B) on the metal and taaa daaa, you get a "good" post-accident maintenance.
Merc suspension, aint it that slbp also has lots of buses with such a problem? Just saw a 174 Merc today which gone over a manhole cover and the wheels just bounced erratically, while amdep Mercs which gone over the same manhole cover dint have this bouncing action. -

9188J was the first of all the LO3xes to get a different air con duct, flooring was changed when refurb. You can also look out for other amdep LOs which have been refurb. K230UB got a sort of noticeboard to put notices/ adverts behind drivers cabin. some VOs also got the thing put on the wall covering the staircase at the standee area (below the location of the LO's TV mobile).
