Hears SBST will proposed a 5 days work scheme ala SMRT buses,One of the reason to encourage more Singaporean to work and stay just like SMRT buses where the number of Singaporean rose up to 35% compared to 24% last two years.Yes there are some PRC,Indian and even Filipino educated BC also
I'm not surprised if other public service jobs are work by foreigners in future -

you go to johore take a bike and when you want to go back, make sure you get stuch in a traffic jam at woodlands checkpoint. Then you'll see several malaysian BC wif his bike going to work. Most of the bc i saw was fr SBST

having to drive 8-9 hours a day on a big vehicle, not to mention the pay and working hours, no suprise theres few singaporeans willing to take this type of jobs..
some more the buses aren't express like SJE etc... start, stop, time schedule, heavy traffic etc..

For perm service BC They will get Monday off too if they're off duty is on Sunday,For Standby you have to work on Monday before you're entitled to off on Tuesday if your off falls on Sunday.
For SMRT 5 days a week,But you will have to call the starter/despatcher 1 day in advance if you wish to work on your off day.
Working hours ranging from 7hr30min to 13hr45min
