anyways dennis tridents and dennis darts are really great... only its engine not suited to a hot environment... its sad theres so few of them -

Also HK got the most no of Tridents. Many early model Dennis DDs can be seen too. Maybe it is easier to get Dominator/Trident parts over there than in SG. -

The 1st DD from non-c'wealth countries was the Merc O305. However, only 50 were bought. SBS(T) has at least 200. -

I once heard somewhere that the Malaysian Lances really were excess stock or something like that, and no one else wanted them until SMRT (then TIBS) came to the rescueOriginally posted by SBS9818A:Because they were excess stock and sold off at bargain-basement rates? . Not sure if they really were sold at bargain-basement prices, but then, you never know what the Malaysians can do to get rid of things they don't want (no offense intended).
The two Volgren-bodied ones are also Malaysian products, but they were originally without bodies. Then-TIBS decided to dress them up in their version of the Volgren bodies, with the modified "smiley" front.
One Malaysian Lance spots more "enclosed" paneling around the doors; that was the only Dennis Lance CSS used (originally CSS 310G); it is now TIB 1257C.
UK Lances, don't know . -
there are many varieties for Uk lances. Most of them have Wright bodies or Plaxton bodies. Northern Ireland had one demo of it with ALX PS body in 93.

dennis darts... why 10 only? other buses like 200, 231, 284, 358, 402, 408, 409 shld deploy dennis darts...
