pai seh.. pic not clear.. forgotten its 1017 or 1018 liao..Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:The two Volgren-bodied ones are also Malaysian products, but they were originally without bodies. Then-TIBS decided to dress them up in their version of the Volgren bodies, with the modified "smiley" front.

Should be 1018 since it bears the Strepsils ad.Originally posted by manjieass:pai seh.. pic not clear.. forgotten its 1017 or 1018 liao..
Its CSS310U , not G.Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:One Malaysian Lance spots more "enclosed" paneling around the doors; that was the only Dennis Lance CSS used (originally CSS 310G); it is now TIB 1257C.
UK Lances, don't know.
Talking about Darts, why did SBST sell (or scrap?) the 811Ds? I don't think they were anywhere near the 17 years at that point.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:dennis darts... why 10 only? other buses like 200, 231, 284, 358, 402, 408, 409 shld deploy dennis darts...
Anyone you know by the name of Walter & Alexander?Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:I used to have 2 colleagues; one is named Dennis and the other Lance.![]()

FYI, the Volgren Dennis Lances were also the only SD to have new colourful Vogelsitze sits, those used on Habits n Volgren bendies. Their interiors were also the same as the Volgren bendy.Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:The two Volgren-bodied ones are also Malaysian products, but they were originally without bodies. Originally posted by iveco:Still, HK has a wider variety of buses. They've got the MAN 24.310.
The 1st DD from non-c'wealth countries was the Merc O305. However, only 50 were bought. SBS(T) has at least 200.
Originally posted by XTransbus:there are many varieties for Uk lances. Most of them have Wright bodies or Plaxton bodies. Northern Ireland had one demo of it with ALX PS body in 93.
Those wright have a slightly wider bodies. Might need lots of adjustments at depots just to cater this wide busOriginally posted by art0925:I think maybe because Dennis/ Alexander Dennis never catch on in SG, in HK, there are no problem with them, infact, since Dennis Dragon era, they have sent on site technicians to Hong Kong, for a while Dennis trident surpass sales of VSO in HK, even for the B9TL, Enviro 500 outsold them to KMB, btw, I think SG should try the Wright B9TL, their interior is really high quality and quiet too.
The Wright bodywork is 2550mm as well, same width as the ComfortDelgro ones. What adjustment is necessary may I ask? Besides the bus wash there's no modification required!Originally posted by XTransbus:Those wright have a slightly wider bodies. Might need lots of adjustments at depots just to cater this wide bus
6CT is 6L like the Dart ones rite? The Lances in SG use the C245 engine with 8.3L capacity.Originally posted by art0925:Even HK has 22 of them, but drivers hate them, cause they are hard to manuver. Also, engine really loud. and 6CT is quite uncommon engine in HK (infact only 22)
