Heavy Rain Causes Havoc to Bus Services

a lot of buses were stuck in the heavy rain esp SV93/157/165...
one strider on SV 165 even have to be pushed manually through the flood...

firstly, there was the wind that shook the leaves off the tree.. den the rain den provided a channel for the leaves to float on and got stuck at the gutters of the drainage system.

Saw so many buses stucked, especially at the 1st pic, how are they going to cross the 'pond'? if stuck then how? manually push?!?!?! -

I saw the bus before the B9 ( SBS9149Y ) arrive at 7.15 - 7.25 pm. I was so happy that the B9 on 10 was coming... But guess what... The B9 arrived at 7.45 pm. Around 1 h 20 Min between these two buses. 
But you cannot blame SBS Transit. They did not expect the rains to clog up the road and mess up the bus frequency. -

Years ago, pax and the driver of one servie 61 bendy pushed the bus through a flood. The picture was captured and featured on newsapaper.

today saw a least 2 sv52 brokedown..
the flood at macritchie.. the cars in the carpark all semi-submerged..
some buses also stalled.. lucky the sv74 i was in managed it quite well -
The junction near Upper Thomson Road and Mandai Road is flooded. Causes quite a jam there. Svc 138 believed to be affected.
The coffeeshop along upper thomson road near nee soon camp are affected too by the heavy downpour. The carpark lots in front of the coffeeshop are flooded.
