I took 3 185 buses today - 3904Z, 527Z, 548M and none of them had svc guides! Or is it haven't print yet?
Anyway, I have confirmed that there are 9A shifts and another 9P shifts. Not sure about the last shift. Probably a T shift.
The loading is rather good between the Jurong West Ave 5 to Jurong Town Hall section since people are using it as an alternative to 99. The morning peak loading was rather packed. But for the rest of the journey, the bus seats weren't even half filled. -

Oh, and did they open the "rural" St22 and the other part of St23 just for the sake of 185? I went there early December but both ends were gated up, with the St23 end being used as a heavy vehicle park!

I've taken a look at the timesheet and the entire journey from SLBP to Buona Vista Terminal hovers around 1h. It's around 1h02min for peak and 57min off peak (the last bus from BNV to SLBP is 57min also). the load is very good . at around 3pm , i took it from clementi stn and the bus was packed to the door , during non peak hrs ! . the load is good . even in the afternoon , the load is like svc 242 . very good . .
so overall , svc 185 is not a waste of buses . as 70% of slbp's SP buses have been taken away when svc 185 was implemented . -

Svc 185 is getting gd loading this days! I think there might be DD on this service. Either then deploy it during the peak hrs or full time!

hmm is it really very good outside peak hours? sometimes no body sometimes during peak hour at clementi packed to the door but the endless jam along clementi ave 6 zzz. At first i tot 185 route is too short and dunno who they serve since there is 99 and 198 which duplicates most of its route. hmm we will see if it gets DDs haha.

there is a slim chance that it would get a DD . however all svc 185 buses operate on A/P shift . Morning - 6AM - 10AM
Afternoon - 12.30PM - 5PM
Evening - 5PM - 9PM
so mostly the load is good on these sectors :
Pioneer north / JW ave 5 / JW ave 3 > JW/JE ave 1 > Clementi stn
Dover stn > Clementi stn > JW/JE ave 1 > Jw ave 3 > JW ave 5 > Pioneer north .
& sometimes the best thing is that abt 2 svc 185 buses bunch ! even though the frequency is @ 12 - 15 mins -

OFF-TOPIC: today i was on 52's SBS 3723 and it was so damn packed to the door. [i stood at the coinbox there and such stuff happens almost everyday during peak hours] seriously, 52 out for almost 1 year 3 months liao and still no DD, esp during peak hours...
at least have some DDs for split shift use. -
