But they have put up a big banner at the entrance of the temp interchange, informing that the interchange will be relocated on 28 apr..
weird.. till today still not willing to put up posters? when want to increase fares, the posters are up so fast.. -

Service 169 to operate from new Ang Mo Kio Interchange
From 28th April, Service 169 will operate from Berth 4 of the new Ang Mo Kio Interchange.
The service will discontinue from the temporary bus interchange along AMK Ave 8 & will no longer serve the pair of bus stops outside Jubilee building.
Passengers may contact SMRT Customer Relations at 1800-336 8900 for more information. -

i think there might be some traffic jam along AMK Ave 8 (just outside AMK MRT Station) during peak hours once the interchange open..
7 services need to turn right into Ave 3 from Ave 8.. now in the morning peak hours, the vehicles on the right turn lane can stretch from the Ave 8/Ave 3 junction up to the pedestrians traffic light crossing..

Saw the traffic light being summoned and the other removed just now.

Alot of green rangers stationed around the interchange today...
meanwhile, the Passenger Service Office is not ready yet if I am not wrong, alot of technicians still inside fixing cables etc.
Lots of BCs standing outside the Passenger Serice Office, dunno what they saying/discussing.

this time theres no amendments to bus services unlike Toa Payoh..
pity, they didnt bring back or revive 266 and 267
86 and 138 continues to use ave 3, which is a good thing, brings better connectivity anyway -

Newly refurbished AMK Bus Interchange gets thumbs-up from commuters
SINGAPORE : The newly refurbished bus interchange at Ang Mo Kio Hub officially opened on Saturday and it got the stamp of approval from commuters and businesses.
The new interchange is fully air-conditioned, making commuting a breeze for users.
It is also safer for passengers, especially with sensors that detect when a bus enters a bay.
All 15 bus services were housed at a temporary interchange nearby when the Hub was being constructed.
Retail and food outlets located at the nearby Hub have also benefited from the opening.
A worker at one cosmetics shop says business has improved by at least 30 per cent and commuters are smiling too.
"The new interchange is nice, it's clean, it's better than last time," said one commuter.
"For the passenger, after shopping you can just hop on to the bus. It's more convenient," said another. - CNA/ch -
the new brochure for AMK Int and the service guide notice boards at the Int do not indicate svc 169 (coz its run by SMRT).
also, i noticed there's hardly space at the parking area to accomodate the bendies. i think cannot have anymore SMRT svcs to AMK Int besides svc 169, or else the roadside parking lots for SMRT would be overloaded.
the new int is really comfortable and beautiful. however, the walls prevent queueing pax from looking out whether the bus is arriving, unlike Toa Payoh Int. this one thing i don't really like.
Many BCs seemed happy and smiling a lot at the SBST counter area - prob because of the new A/C Int! -
yeah i think when they designed the int they failed to take into consideration the walls..
u don't know when the bus is coming.. say if the person in front doesn't take the bus.. then no one will take liao
actually with advanced technology nowadays, they should have a LED light light up when the bus arrives or something.. -

theres only like 2 ways to enter then interchange from ave 3 for pedestrians.
one is through the main entrance facing the traffic junction, another is a tiny side door leading to the first alighting berth.
SMRT passenger service counter has 2 computers, but as of yesterday, no one is manning the counter.
nice interchange though, better than sengkang
