Amendment of service 966

sv 966 will be amended from BKE into Bukit Panjang Rd, Pending Rd and Petir Rd and continue its trip along BKE and loop at Marine Parade Rd wef 7 Jan 2007.
Existing passengers will continue to pay the same fare.
Service frequency:
15 min(Peak)
20 min(Off Peak)

It's great news 966 has adopted the 2 SMRT territory and 1 SBST territoty thing. But for people like me, i have to take 184/171/963 to Pending Road and cross to opposite side but it shouldnt be a problem right/
At least LTA is forcing SMRT to amend their buses instead of letting them be same old same old... -

Really? Ok then sorry if I jumped to conclusions. Thanks for the info. Anyway i changed my mind abit. I think 966 should go through Gangsa Road rather than Pending Road because more passengers can go to marine parade by gangsa since jelebu road is jammed.

Oh.. If LTA is the one approving the changes.. Then could you kindly explain on why is there a PTC ? Isnt PTC the one approving the changes ? Even my feedback on some complicated issues, both PTC and LTA or even the operators (Most occasion, they are simply lying through the teeths) would reply depending on the situation -

Frequency is just terrible. I rather SMRT adds 1 bus (seriously dont care if it is a nissan) to improve the frequency.

Its facing serious shortages of buses, somemore cut cost and deploy less buses. Look at 190, no matter how gd its freq, its always pack, as compared with SBS times. 920/922 is worst as ever. 960 also very bad. 187 freq quite good actually, at least got one service which freq is acceptable that passes by BP. Even if they dont wish to buy buses now, they shld at least have a new demonstrator WAB, say the OC500LE or the Citaro or better, the Scania K230.
