Accident or Breakdown Thread (Jan 2007 - Mar 2007)

255(SBS7208Z) & 187(TIB649L) were involved in minor accident this morning in Boon Lay Int bef Alighting Berth at AM Peak, thus blocking the left turn lane into Boon Lay Int & all buses had to use the other entrance to the Int.
TIB649L side hit SBS7208Z rear while trying to overtake SBS7208Z aft turning in from Jurong West St 64, both BCs let pax alighted while waiting for Green Man to handle the situation.
Green Man to take pics to file a report & acess to the damage of both buses with both BCs & SBST Mech.
SBS7208Z - right rear stratched, some cover forced opened a little.
TIB649L - left side stratched, bottom dented a little bef bus exit door.
Both SBS7208Z & TIB649L return to service aft checking the bus is servicable. -

SBS9262C breakdown at Clemenceau ave at 5+ pm in the direction to Toa Payoh Int.

SBS 548M - 185 , broke down along JW Ave 1 blk 425 bus stop around 12pm . saw BC letting passengers aligt and cancelling their rides & giving them complimentary tickets . they were all alighting from the front door .
bus later replaced by a WA 0405 i guess . The BC had a " Grand Finale" of his A - Shift .

Bus: SBS 9462S, Service 168
Date and Time: 16 February 2007, 1215hrs
Location: Bedok North Bus Interchange
Notes:
1. All the passengers on SBS 9462S had alighted prior to the breakdown. The bus was preparing to enter the bus park when the breakdown occured.
2. Traffic access to the right lane just before entering the bus park was blocked. A red triangle warning sign was placed approximately 5 metres from the bus.
3. It has been considered lucky to have all passengers alighted from the bus as the situation would have been more serious if it broke down earlier.
4. And I viewed it when I was boarding SBS 0063U cameoing on Service 225W. -

SBS 9071L (BR 157) breakdown in Boon Lay Int at 3.55pm. Tow car was there to tow the car off. -

SBS2830 (SV39) broke down along Yishun Ave 2 on 19 feb 4pm at bus stop outside Yishun stadium.

Bus: SBS 2732J, Service 27
Date and Time: 22 February 2007, 1544hrs at time of witness on SBS 7412A on Service 21
Location: Tampines Avenue 5
Notes:
1. SBS 2732J on Service 27 was preparing to leave the bus bay when it broke down. All passengers were directed to alight from the bus and wait at the bus stop.
2. The desto had been removed (27 desto placed over BC windscreen) when I witnessed the breakdown of the bus. A warning triangle sign was displayed prominently about 5 metres away from the bus. No cover was seen to be opened from the offside of the bus.
3. I saw it while I was on SBS 7412A on Service 21. I might have received a breakdown ticket if I had gotten onto the bus earlier (Tight schedule!). -
