The above mentioned buses have OM447h enignes with Mercedes Benz W3E110/2.2R, ZF4HP500N or an unknown model of Votih (381.4?) gearboxes.
WDB/WEB357211 TIB838H, SBS999U, TIB849B to TIB904A, TIB1061A, TIB1063U to TIB1147L
The above mentioned buses have OM447hA engines (basically the engine is the same but they have Euro 1 trubo)
612323 TIB1148J to TIB1177A, TIB1178Y to TIB1187X, TIB1198P to TIB1207Y
The abovementioned buses have OM447hLA engines with ZF4HP500 gearboxes (Euro 2 turbo)
612323 TIB1024H, TIB1025E to TIB1060C, TIB1062Y, TIB1188T to TIB1197S, TIB1208U to TIB1247G
The above mentioned buses have OM447hLA engines with D863.3 gearboxes. (Euro 2 turbo)
Note that the Euro 1 habits were registered before 1st Jan 2000, the Euro 2 deadline.
The reason why some OM447hLA buses have fast gear changes is because their gearboxes are tuned such that they have fast gear changes. -
Zhun bo? Then how come i can hear turbo sound in the O405 of SMRT?? Maybe yo can explain about the OM447hA and the OM447hLA part, Euro1 and Euro 2 respectively. No Euro 1 and Euro 2 don't make much difference in performance, its how the gearbox is tuned.

Really? Hmm try those KJDEP ones, i heard turbos alot of time. If it wasn't turbo, dont tell me its engine noise? What i heard is the "whistling" sound, clearly its turbo. But the OM447hA and OM447hLA got difference leh, first one got only turbo, hence is hA(meaning Horizontal cylinders, Turbo-charged), whereas the other has turbo and inter-cooler, hence is hLA(meaning Horizontal cylinders, turbo-charged, intercooled). The addition of a intercooler should improve its performance right? I realised that the Volgren bendy and some Habits (hLA version) has the tendency to jerk, like the SBST O405 sufferiing from slip gears. Its not the gearbox thingy, its when the BC release the trottle, then steps fully on the pedal all the way down to MAX trottle, you can feel the jerk. Torquey engine!

Adui, every vehicle has one, if you own a car, you should get your VIN in paper form (which many people simply throw that away). For buses there is a VIN plate, the VIN can also be found on the Manufacturer's plate. VINs are inscribed to the chassis of a vehicle. I knew that VIN are inscribed on the chassis(terrorist covers this up when using the vehicle as a bomb, as shown in Discovery channel, to avoid identification of the vehicle.) So where to look for the Maunfacturer's plate? At the front of the bus? Near the door there? Different buses got different positions. Most of the time is around the driver's area. Habits i know, its next to the door. But how to see? Words so small. I pad jiao one leh. Go up to the plate and see?
