It has a MAN D 2866 TUH engine rated at 290 PS and a Voith D864G transmission.

i saw this around 2 weeks before; did it sound like those that were found in sg? and i even heard that the ability of HK MEs were nerfed by alot [max speed only 65kmh] thru the replacing of the 3rd gear to another ratio. [in the vid, quite alot of vehicles + some KMB buses actually overtook that ME]Originally posted by sbst275:Found this on youtube
KMB's O305 onboard Sv 59M (Tsuen Wan MTR Terminal <-> Tuen Mun Pier Head)... The video was taken along Tuen Mun Highway towards Tuen Mun
59M is now a FAC sv alrdy
Dedicated to those who missed the O305

In fact I heard for KMB it was as high as 110km/hr along the Tuen Muen Highway back in the 80's along Rt 68 (Or was it 68X). I think 68X has since used the Tai Lam TunnelOriginally posted by collinnxk88:i saw this around 2 weeks before; did it sound like those that were found in sg? and i even heard that the ability of HK MEs were nerfed by alot [max speed only 65kmh] thru the replacing of the 3rd gear to another ratio. btw when was the last O305 in sg aka the RGS apple computer bus scrapped?
thanks for the info. no one here really knows when was the RGS apple bus scrapped? and btw there was also a NAC Hino from TIBS donated to RGS also right?Originally posted by sbst275:In fact I heard for KMB it was as high as 110km/hr along the Tuen Muen Highway back in the 80's along Rt 68 (Or was it 68X)
They did something later on to reduce the speed
Yeah, the video inside was quite slow, but I believe the bus was due to be scrapped when the video was made
Yeah... The engine sound is the same
This one I'm not too sureOriginally posted by collinnxk88:thanks for the info. no one here really knows when was the RGS apple bus scrapped? and btw there was also a NAC Hino from TIBS donated to RGS also right?
That is not possible, as the differential they used was an ultra high accelleration differential, which would limit the speed of the bus to 75km/h. At a push, 80. But nowhere near 100, let alone 110. I suggest you check the authenticity of your "facts".Originally posted by sbst275:In fact I heard for KMB it was as high as 110km/hr along the Tuen Muen Highway back in the 80's along Rt 68 (Or was it 68X). The first half, you'll be along JW St 63, seeing the new MRT lines. The bus was actually driven by a pro driver but too bad he didn't floor the accelerator at all and we also stopped at every bus stop (except Hall 1)! We only managed to catch up with the previous bus in NTU in the last minute.

For the first video (9088P), that driver is on 7238L this week.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Oh that pro driver.. So actually how can I catch the bus he would be driving? any perm bus for him or usually wat bus he would drive?
