Impossible. If the turbocharger produces a screaming sound, get away from that bus quick!Originally posted by stooper:I dunno but it just sounds very nice and unique when you try and differentiate the engine and gearbox sound for this video. You hear the low-pitch Cummins, you hear the ZF whine kick in half-way, you hear the lock-up and also you hear another screaming sound. Turbocharger?
It seems like you used a Digital Camera or a Camcorder to record, its very clear, not like mine, not very clear, image also.Originally posted by TIB433S:My newest recording: SBS2739R on 69 (DM3500)

The good news was that the TVMobile was spoilt!
My video of SBS 535A also like that, somemore got pass by Esplanate which is a tourist attraction.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:VSO SBS9830M on 143. BC got some problem with engine or gearbox. Bus sometimes cannot move off. BC then switches to neutral and floors the engine. You can also hear the BC talking thru a OCC or mic ...
Darn the ad ! Cant see the outside of the bus clearly .

that's because u used a handphone to record your video and then connect it to your computer and upload it to youtube right?Originally posted by ngjy22:It seems like you used a Digital Camera or a Camcorder to record, its very clear, not like mine, not very clear, image also.

Yes, you're right. Handphone recordings won't be as clear as those Digital camera recordings.Originally posted by bus555:that's because u used a handphone to record your video and then connect it to your computer and upload it to youtube right?

6. I think its the same gearbox as the B9TL. ZF 6HP502.Originally posted by stooper:Whoa, I like the whistle at the top gear. How many gears does the bus have?
Your eyes very sharp!Originally posted by SBS9806J:About 02:20/02:21

Mk4 DM3500, I think is front-middle. I think Volvo B9TL also, at the middle is louder, you can compare with my SBS7416P and 7427H recording, 7416P I sat at the most behind seat, only got AC sound, nothing special and for 7427H, I sat just in front by 2 seats, I can hear the sound at least clearer.
1780B on 179!

I chose the back, because if you sat at the middle, next to the engine, the engine sound would overpower the ZF sound as you know, the MK2 engine when floored is deafening. And you won't be able to hear any ZF howling!Originally posted by ngjy22:I think some of the Volvo buses, most of the engine is at the middle, like Mark III and IV, they always are louder when you sit at the middle. This one is middle-back (saw the engine cover), so at the back is OK, lucky no one talk, or else got ppl talk sound.
Anyway, clear enough, its quite a good one!
Comment: Interial view seems to be clearer.
It has a ZF 6HP 502C - 6 gears including two overdrive gears. Most of the whistling in that recording can be attributed to the Thermo King Citi-RT air-conditioning.Originally posted by stooper:Whoa, I like the whistle at the top gear. How many gears does the bus have?
