cos steel elements r ex these days.. u see many pple selling these days! Next time maybe they still these side desto..Originally posted by 201911:My goodness, SBST spend so much money do reflooring for so many of the WA Merz which will be scrapped even before the CAC DM Merz... and then for this paticular bus, they so despo, use the desto to cover floor.
i was wondering...was SBS73R redone to attract buyers?Originally posted by Scania:Actually, I must say that the O.405s are more likely to be sold than scrapped because they are more reliable than B10Ms and Scania N113CRBs. Just need to do nicely or follow buyer's requirements will do.
Maybe, but there is also this possibility that the bus was in such a bad condition and was used for trial. However, an O.405 would still be a better choice than a Scania N113CRB.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:i was wondering...was SBS73R redone to attract buyers?
Among the B10Ms, the MKIII seems to be the better contender to be sold, despite their age still doing fine without all the rattling like the MKIIs.Originally posted by Scania:Actually, I must say that the O.405s are more likely to be sold than scrapped because they are more reliable than B10Ms and Scania N113CRBs. because MBO405 more stable and much more smooth to control?Originally posted by SBS3625D:Among the B10Ms, the MKIII seems to be the better contender to be sold, despite their age still doing fine without all the rattling like the MKIIs.
I agree the 0405 stands the best chance to be sold if SBST decides to sell.
These are the factors:Originally posted by BusSpeeder:because MBO405 more stable and much more smooth to control?
MB cease manufacturing O.305 and O.405 already right?Originally posted by Scania:These are the factors:
B10M
Mk2s: Easy to maintain, but O.405s even more easier.
Mk3s, Mk4s: Maintenance wise, O.405s still easier to maintain Relatively few operators chose these chassis as city bus as compared to operators who use them as coaches.
Scania N113CRBs: Harder to maintain than O.405s.
O.405s: Widely used chassis around the world (besides North America). From NE England to Israel to Kuala Lumpur to Australia, you can find these. So they need not find the parts for an O.405. Drivers seem to like O.405s than new Volvos or Scanias. You can buy a lot of new buses, but drivers would still stick to O.305s and O.405s.
Yes. The current products that are replacing the O.405s are the Citaro (for Europe) and OC500LE (for Australia).Originally posted by BusSpeeder:MB cease manufacturing O.305 and O.405 already right?
once the O405 get deregistered, maybe its time for new MB buses? or the new scania buses covers them, after they decide to order 1000 of them after the 100 buses test?Originally posted by Scania:Yes. The current products are Citaro (for Europe) and OC500LE (For Australia).
You most probably wouldn't get all 1000 buses being ScaniasOriginally posted by BusSpeeder:once the O405 get deregistered, maybe its time for new MB buses? or the new scania buses covers them, after they decide to order 1000 of them after the 100 buses test?
