Vibrative? Mercs aint supposed to be vibrative. What is Soon Lee doing? Ya, mercs shouldn't vibrate at all. However some "black horses" vibrates, some of SMRT Hispano OAC merc vibrates quite badly, took one on 963 b4, and the rattling quite bad.Originally posted by Scania:Vibrative? List of bus that is faulty
1) SBS 539P <-- Burning smell inside the bus, the air con is not functioning well and hard jerk when the bus picks up to the first gear
2) SBS 315T <-- Hard jerk when the bus go up to the first and second gear.
3)SBS 3820G <-- Hard jerk when the bus go up to the first gear.
4)SBS 432M <-- Hard jerk when the bus go up to the first gear. Wa!! svc 502 bus leh. Cannot like that la..
5) SBS 9049C <-- Loud roars when it brakes!! -
TIB781C yesterday i boarded it and whoa, the front window the thingy is loose. so its quite dangerous and makes bus look even dirtier.
And basically every SMRT scania OAC will have aircon leaks, especialy near the more behind seats. -
Took 1139K a few days ago and the engine was moaning. It sounded much like a VO3X @ the start.

SBS429Z (AMDEP 76) got the gear or something not working properly, stuck on 2nd gear if I am not wrong.

BTW, remember I said about the banging sound of 9064H quite a few months ago? Now, the banging sound occurs whenever the accelerator is pressed instead of kicking in halfway. 9064H now sounds like 9041Z before it was repaired.
9126M of 30 also has strange ZF whining sounds... -

TIB1038T (WL 856) has a weird engine sound.From outside,you must listen closely.But from inside,it is very clear. Should be the engine. Different type, maybe.
TI639R: One of the aircon vent is loose.Jutting out and vibrating like hell. Sekali fall on the passengers.

Almost all the buses I've taken before can jerk very hard when it crosses a strip on a road. The worst has got to be when buses pass by a bridge on the road connecting Tamines and Bedok Reservior and other parts of Bedok. Almost everyday I take bus have to pass by the area. When the bus passes by the speed strip regulator, the bus jerk so violently. Mercedes, Scania N113CRB and VO3X are just the examples. I boarded SBS 9305M on 168 just now and imagine how hard it sways from side to side? It's just like airplane, when there is turbulence, the plane moves up and down, and side to side in a continuous and repeated manner.

I think that SBS 3820G jerking is nt so serious when it accelerates. What I was angry was SBS 315T do not had any changes, it still does have the hard jerking problem when it changes gear. Btw, only today when I board the free shuttle bus by SMRT, I knew that their MB 0405G would also jerk hardly when the bus accelerates.

I only knew that Volgren bendies and some Habits jerk quite badly. -
during the wet period earlier this month, one of the 89 DD actually was FLOODED on the UPPER DECK!!!!
i do not remember the reg no., but it not the ones with the amber LED svc number display or the WAB DD. older one. -

Dunno which EB (Employee bus) also has this noise, its a Merc O.405. But now its fixed. Usually this bus would pass by my hse, and when it brakes i can hear a "bbbrrrruuuunnnnnngggggg........PSST" sound. The bus that you mentioned is most likely to be the first batch of the VO3x. I've taken many of them and i realise that they are quite prone to upper deck flooding from rain. LO3x are also more prone, but LO3x are not found on 89.

Are you very sure? VO3x batch 1 prone to upper deck raining more than LO3x ok! U know why? In the upper deck, water tends to leak into the bus from the emergency windows at the side. This window can only be found on VO3x batch 1.
