must understand which is older... cmon im sure the older the harder to maintain and the more problems it hasOriginally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Btw the amber EDS bus u referring to is the Tridents while the WAB DDs is the new B9TL, just FYI.
The bus that you mentioned is most likely to be the first batch of the VO3x. I've taken many of them and i realise that they are quite prone to upper deck flooding from rain. LO3x are also more prone, but LO3x are not found on 89.![]()
You took a hot frying pan and pour some water into it,What happen?Originally posted by ghimpheng:on rainy days some wheels of the sbs bus will have smoke why is that so ?
Talking about upper deck windows ah, why do some windows have white patches on them? It looks something like water get stuck between them or something... 9128H & 9049C of 179 has this problem at the upper deck front windscreen. One of the 174 DDs also has white patches.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:Almost every BRBP DD on the upper deck has this problem... either the front window or the sides... even 9888Y used to leak but the problem was fixed about a month ago... no surprise if it leaks again![]()
friction causes heat..

huh?!?!Originally posted by SBS3625D:9844Z is the most tokong buses I've ever taken.
1. Aircon on the upper deck is non-existent.
2. The original latches for the desto have been replaced by those similar to the LO3X, VO3X I. (Quite a no. of VSOs are like that)
3. The video camera for the upper deck is spoilt.
4. Terrible vibrations coming out of the engine.
5. Best of all, when me and my mum tried to leave this hellish bus, the seat fell from my mum's butt!
BTW, unless I'm mistaken, 9844Z was the VSO whose rear wheels reportedly fell out at Woodlands and someone took a shot of the stricken VSO and was displayed on the Straits Times.
Yeah , that was the VSO , SBS9844Z that the rear wheels fell out , i think it was also appear in STOMP.Originally posted by SBS3625D:9844Z is the most tokong buses I've ever taken.

You can look about in STOMP. I personally know a forum with this but I would advice not to make a big fuss out of this matter again. SBS Transit has since repaired the wheels at least, but I personally have no tried the bus... I always skip it...Originally posted by manjieass:huh?!?!
anyone got e pic??
Thats the use of the stripe.. To make ppl reduce speed.. If the Vechicle doesnt vibrate when it passes by the speed reducing strips.. It would only means that the strips have lost their uses already.Originally posted by TWS4793:Almost all the buses I've taken before can jerk very hard when it crosses a strip on a road. The worst has got to be when buses pass by a bridge on the road connecting Tamines and Bedok Reservior and other parts of Bedok. Almost everyday I take bus have to pass by the area. When the bus passes by the speed strip regulator, the bus jerk so violently. Mercedes, Scania N113CRB and VO3X are just the examples. I boarded SBS 9305M on 168 just now and imagine how hard it sways from side to side? It's just like airplane, when there is turbulence, the plane moves up and down, and side to side in a continuous and repeated manner.
You meant the glass of the desto?Originally posted by SBS3625D:2. The original latches for the desto have been replaced by those similar to the LO3X, VO3X I. (Quite a no. of VSOs are like that)

Ask you a question. Who installed the seats on the bus? Who does the maintenance of the bus? Definitely not Volgren for sure.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Good quality from Volgren!![]()
