If cannot carry a lot of ppl, then it should not have deployed on svc 74. @stooper: maybe because the original VO2X parts now like no longer available so use something similar?

You cannot come to a conclusion that a particular bus is unable to withstand heavy loads just from the number of seats. How much weight a vehicle is designed to carry is specified as the Gross Vehicle Weight. This is determined by the manufacturer. The VO2X is rated to carry 26 standees, more when packed from back to front. Crammed full VO2X buses can be seen at Boon Lay every morning and evening. The VO2X has 12 rows of seats on the upper deck as compared to the LO2X with 14 rows. 2 rows less make way for more legroom; not because the bus can't take it. The VO2X is basically a LO2X with Volvo parts and engines anyway. -
i must say that the VO2X can also speed well even when cramped... saw speedometer at 60 before once while on boon lay way.
