A) Take MRT from Cityhall
ai ) Transfer at Jurong East
aii ) Direct Via woodlands..

B)
bi ) Walk towards Funan for direct service 190 back to CCK than transfer to 307

C)
Ci ) Take 960 from esplanade and alight at woodlands road and walk in

D) other ways

2) Fastest way from orchard ROAD to yewtee..

Ai) 190
bi ) MRT transfer via JE or Direct..?
C ) other ways
D ) Take 700 or other services to bukit timah road and take 961 or 170 back to woodlands road and walk up?

For Q2 , I choose 190 direct.

It depends on where is your exact starting point and ending point.

During normal traffic, a bus ride from CCK Interchange to Orchard MRT is about 45 mins. Taking MRT from Choa Chu Kang to Orchard (via Jurong East / City Hall) takes 45 minutes as well.

However, if you do not have direct bus 190 (i.e. need transfer to board 190), and are going to places nearer to Somerset MRT or Dhoby Ghaut MRT, then it would be faster to take a feeder to transfer to MRT (via Jurong East/City Hall).

Most direct - 961 (to Queensway) or MRT (to Queenstown MRT)

Fastest - 966 to PIE(Whitney Rd), cross the bridge to CJC and change to 153 (to Queensway) or 186 (to Queenstown MRT)

not realli if u r gg cityhall n beyond, takes ard 45-50 min frm cck interchange to city hall, but ard 30 min on mrt. however, it is popular bcos it is more convenient for ppl living in teck whye, n for ppl living in bt panjang they can reach orchard in as fast as 15min. also more convenient for ppl gg directly to places along orchard tt r a dist frm the mrt stations.

another reason is tt u dun haf to stand as u travel to city on 190, although not the case esp for bukit panjang area. for a typical morning peak, the seats r usually full at bpp, while sat noon, seats can be full even frm lot 1.

for 1st qn, just take mrt direct

for b) 190 frm funan to cck ard 50min (ah u still haf to get frm esplnade to funan, quite far if u walk), exclude waiting time. cck- yew tee on 307 ard 10min also exclude waiting time. 302 is an alternative though 307 is slightly faster. 302 has better freq.

for c) 960 can take up to 50 min - 1hr to reach the bustop at wdlands rd. damn far walk in to the mrt. even if u change to 307 outside the condo, u waste waiting time depending on luck.

2) also take mrt direct.
a)transferring to 302/307 is a hasle n extreme time wasting.
d) why travel on traffic light notorious bt timah rd when u can cheong on PIE/BKE?

wat do u mean by transferring at JE? transfer to train or wat?

CCK to Yew tee MRT = Sv 307 is better , 302 is a bit long due to CCK Way that part.

The bus stop at Woodlands Rd is before the Stagmont Ring and can walk in along the road , although its a bit dangerous but i've tried it before.

how abt 966>cross bridge at cjc>132/105>111?
mrt still fastest under 40min. 966 has v long waiting time, n takes ard 30min to reach opp cjc alone. bo pian
