Just hop on the SJE.. Itz the same..Originally posted by choww:Anyone board it before?
nope - the difference is that this one's got a ZF.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Just hop on the SJE.. Itz the same..
Ya. SJE ones are the same , is just that this one is auto gear , whereas the SJE's are Manuals . Btw SJE seems to have many old MANs but the shocking thing is that they are introduced & registered in 1994! WTF. I remember i went to the vrl web & type in duno wat number of an SJE MAN which look similar to 81S , the result comes out that that MAN was introduced & registered duno in 1994 or 1996. Whats this? SBS81S a demo?? By the way , SBS81S' taillight is the same as the SJE'sOriginally posted by TIB1049L:nope - the difference is that this one's got a ZF.
Hmm , the interior is niceOriginally posted by The_Bus_Guide:
Do the newer version MAN buses in SJE fleet have any differences in terms of bodywork?Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:SBS 81S is indeed a demonstrator bus for SBS. SJE has been using MAN 16.240 buses since the 1980s, before SBS got 81S. The MAN buses we see today are purchased later, hence they were registered in the mid 90s.
I suppose the old MANs had Fuji bodywork, while the newer ones had Soon Chow bodyworks.Originally posted by iveco:Do the newer version MAN buses in SJE fleet have any differences in terms of bodywork?
Some SJE ‚l‚`‚m , (eg. SH112T) looks totally the same (with Soon Chow body) as 81S & yet it is introduced & registered in 1993 while SBS81S is in 1990.Originally posted by Scania:I suppose the old MANs had Fuji bodywork, while the newer ones had Soon Chow bodyworks.
i never take b4. sobs.Originally posted by off_service:When I first took MAN I was still very young. My impression of the bus then was a "very high" yet special "Mercedes Benz".It was years after I realise it's a MAN.
