Erm... If you need to stop every 50m, then of course good acceleration and braking will be useful.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Actually does great accleration determine that the bus is gd. Did I say the bus is good, its just the drivers who prefer to drive Scanias, not meOriginally posted by chickenlittle2:Actually does great accleration determine that the bus is gd. Does gd accleration needed when you drive along JW west st 41/east? Where you gotta stop almost every 50m.
I guess you tooOriginally posted by Scania:Did I say the bus is good, its just the drivers who prefer to drive Scanias, not me
Haha..of cuz the Scanias have good acceleration..even the old N113CRBs SBS have already had a turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine..so it's definitely powerful..Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Nah i dont believe them. Just that i dont know if its true or not, just to make sure. Otherwise you might say im blabbering rubbish again.![]()
Hmm....seems that Scanias are also well known for its superb acceleration. Both the CRBs and SMRT's Scanias are excellent in acceleration to me...Both chassis have really powerful engines.![]()
Agreed. If a bus can match a car in acceleration, I say its a very good bus. Acceleration is a factor in determining a good city bus. One of the reason is that the bus will not hold back the traffic behind it. Another reason is it would reach the next stop in the least time. i still vote for O405Originally posted by iveco:X 2. Get back to the topic.
Which SD bus is easiest to drive? Is it the:Volvo B10M
Scania N113CRB
Mercedes O405
Dennis Dart
Volvo B10B
Scania L94UB
Scania L113CRL
DAF SB220
Dennis Lance
Hino HSK
Nissan U31RCN?
oh really, if they accelerate fast means when they brake, the force would be great too? More people falling down in the bus? No wonder I felt very uncomfortable when I once took those old scania..Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Agreed. If a bus can match a car in acceleration, I say its a very good bus. Eh go back and learn your physics, if you acclerate fast, but you declerate gently, then it wouldn't happen. And note that you just said about the accleration part. Depends on driver, exprienced ones usually knows how strong to press the pedal. if you have a Volvo travelling at 60 km/h, then it jam brake, wouldn't it be nearly the same as a Merc or Scania travelling at 60km/h and then jam braking?Originally posted by chickenlittle2:oh really, if they accelerate fast means when they brake, the force would be great too? Those second batch Habits are also prone to jerking...as they had more powerful engines as compared with the first gen Habits and MKI and MKII bendies...Volgren artic also prone too.Originally posted by hiphop2009:how abt mercedes hispano? bendy buses?
That day I took 203H when raining, I think was the worst O405 I have taken! 2 seats (that means 4 ppl's seats) were completely wet from the dripping! Then another seat was half wet (only the inner one)! Then the whole floor like flooding!Originally posted by kenn3th:there's one O405 on sv193 which is super well maintained.
You sec what? F net = ma. No Link. I live in the east and I never see anyone felling off from a Scania. How many times you took Scania and you come to this conclusion? I know you like your SL merz a lot.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:oh really, if they accelerate fast means when they brake, the force would be great too? More people falling down in the bus? Mercs is standard 12m lah... Same as Scania. Where got seats removed to compensate for lack of space? If like that, then VO3x also got lack of space?Originally posted by SBS1985C:Mercz. 10.3M long bus.Ehh Wait is it 9.3M ? Some seats were removed to compensate for the lack of space. Oh and FYI. Not all mercz got TV Mobile.
Oh ya... as far as I remember, Soon Lee does not have Scania CRBs. Neither does BNL (Unless Cameo, since the 30 S Shift Scania CRBs are replaced). So you can put your mind at ease that Scania CRB wont appear there frequently.
I don't want to argue with you chickens. No link, chickens also like to say things which are no link.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:I dun want to argue with u this kids. Mercz is definitely not Full 12 M. And its shorter than a Scania or Volvo SD.Originally posted by stooper:Mercs is standard 12m lah... Same as Scania. Where got seats removed to compensate for lack of space? If like that, then VO3x also got lack of space?
BNL got 157 Scanias.
Take a look yourselfOriginally posted by SBS1985C:Mercz is definitely not Full 12 M. And its shorter than a Scania or Volvo SD.
Its been posted up before on SBST Website.
Opps. BNL still got Bram Scania.
If you check the pictures I sent, you'll realise Scanias are in fact 11.8mOriginally posted by SBS1985C:Edit: Checked. O405 are 11.3 M. Scanias and B10BLE (CNG) are 11.9M.
Are you sure 85 is after the seats removed?Originally posted by SBS1984E:Okay. From the same webbie. Mercz can carry total 85 people (licensed) but MK III can carry (89 people) and thats is after some seats in Mercz were removed.
I dun get what you meanOriginally posted by stooper:If you check the pictures I sent, you'll realise Scanias are in fact 11.8m
