If the activities/areas around the Camp is classified as Secret to the SAF & unable to relocate to a more hidden place, SAF will try all ways to make the place is cameo up from public view by restricting DDs to passby the Camp.
Also that's the reason why buses that pass by some SAF Camps are fully SDs, why some buses passing by SAF Camps have DDs. -

It's because it plys small roads at Eunos/Ubi such as Circuit Road. Wonder how Service 154 can do it even when it plys narrow roads. -

svc 63 had LAs when it was still plying between Bukit Merah Interchange and MacPherson Estate, until they re-routed to Rumah Tinggi Terminal instead. that was when svc 63 used SDs. when it was integrated with svc 382, it still continued using SDs.
the roads at macpherson estate are not narrow at all. -

I remembered that after the amendment to Rumah Tinggi, it is still using LA. For 139, it can either be the case that Ah Hood Road area and/or Redhill area are no longer suitable for DD or SD still able to cope with the demand or both case.
Explain why DD can be use on 174 as it travel along Jurong Road which is a small road? -
I don't know whether is it because of the 'roundabout' in Bukit Purmei Avenue so 123 and 131 cannot be use DDs

i think as mentioned many times, DD may not be used isnt really due to tight roads. DD and SD are of the same length, so tight corners and such are not really applicable.

it is because there is no sharp turn involved...furthermore Svc 28 has their roads widened if ur askin...and Sv.143 (West Coast outside Teban Gardens) is a straight road...sv.72 doesnt have as many bends as Sv.139...furthermore Sv.72 demand is much higher...Sv.174 demand can get rather high compared to Sv.139...Sv. 139 demand can be coped with SDs...took sv.139 on sat at 6plus and the bus was less than half-filled...wad makes things worse is that the bends at rumah tinggi estate are very narrow and not widened givin ADDs a trouble maneuvering thru... ah hood rd is basically due to too many cars parked along the road any o how... and i think its because of some trees also...the last bend after the pentecostal chruch before u reach balestier road junction is too narrow and many 139 BCs have trouble with alr SDs at the junction...so thats why i think why 139 doesnt have DDs.
