410 and 502 got DD last time. even heard of a VSO on 410 on some occassions. one of the last services to use O305s too. [maybe MBs started coming in since 95/96? when some MBs were being replaced by new buses at that time.]
502's old route had a mix-match of buses, including DDs.
VO3X batch 1/2/maybe 3 also, Dennis Trident, ZF VSO 9888Y, and 1 or 2 LO3X.
SDs include striders, DM3500s and a few MBs. so 502 that time which used DDs was like 85% controlled by HGDEP?! -

When I was just primary 6 last time, I used to take service 225 back home. But I had to withstand the uber-small space in the bus.
Townlink 293 is now affected also. I saw somw people had to stand on steps, which, in standard procedure, is not allowed.
Service 228, from what I know, passes by one secondary school. During the morning peak hours, the buses get more like sardines. The worst is SMRT's Service 67. Wah, I see TIB 0973A jam-packed even if it's a bendy! -

DD on feeder are quite useless.. take a few stops also want to go upstairs then come down again?
especially so for 354 284 etc..
at least 285 is the practical one..
express buses better dont use DD.. speed very very slow.. tt time took 501 or 502 can cry
and yeah, 511 used to have 50% DD in its heyday -
but at least a trident/LO3X on 502 is still reasonably fast compared to VO3X.

Full load DD on 518 , imagine the poor bus climbing up the steep slope ? I dont think it can do it. Even if it can, what if there is a jam and the bus has to stop half way up the slope ?

First factor
VO 3 axles and VSO is not as powerful as LO. I believe the LO can do it.
2nd factor :
It's always jam especially peak hours , what if the DD bus brakes down (can't repair on the spot) ?I feel for the tow truck towing the bus up the steep slope. Unlike NUS, the traffic is heavy and there is no room for mistakes. If the bus do roll back, chances of hitting the vehicle is high. Very risky if you ask me. -

Service 90 used to have NAC DDs (LO2x) to cater for the peak hour crowd. However DDs were withdrawn and replaced by NAC Scania CRBs when the LO2x were phased out in 2003.
In fact services 90/94 should use LO3x during peak hours on weekdays
