502 , 506 & 518 can actually. maybe SBST thinks DD is slow thats why , but i dun think is true , express services like 502 & 518 should use DDOriginally posted by bus555:dont forget 136, 139, 145, 170, Townlink 291 and 293, 410 and Express 502![]()

Originally posted by swee_heng:VO2x also. i remembered 7206D was perm on 186 before being transferred to SLBP for Jurong Industral Service , up till now , no DDs were seen on 186 & i dun think there's chance to see 186 having DD now as it doesn't even happen now , to see it is very vagrant or 100% impossible. Anyone knows other 186 Vo2x perm other than 7206D?

Yeah VSO on 410 did happen once in 2005 if im not wrong.Originally posted by collinnxk88:410 and 502 got DD last time. even heard of a VSO on 410 on some occassions. one of the last services to use O305s too. [maybe that happened since 95/96? when some MBs were being replaced by new buses at that time.]
502's old route had a mix-match of buses, including DDs.
VO3X batch 1/2/maybe 3 also, Dennis Trident, ZF VSO 9888Y, and 1 or 2 LO3X.
SDs include striders, DM3500s and a few MBs. so 502 that time which used DDs was like 85% controlled by HGDEP?!
291 also got VSO before i think Happen in 2006 or so.Originally posted by ngjy22:I thought svc 291 used to use VO3x last time?
I knew that Townlink 291 used DD's last time. I had no info on Service 228.Originally posted by SBS9889U:You sure 228/291 unable to use DDs?
YES . 502 really needs DD on weekendsOriginally posted by Volvo Olympian:Yeah VSO on 410 did happen once in 2005 if im not wrong.
And also , 501 , 502 (old) 511 ever use DD's such as VO3x , VSO?
359 is still around , 291 used VO2x until mid 2004 when they are transferred out to SLBP , now it has 9211A on itOriginally posted by TWS4793:I knew that Townlink 291 used DD's last time. I had no info on Service 228.
And is Service 359 already withdrawn?
136 has one LoX3 x-over during AM peakOriginally posted by bus555:dont forget 136, 139, 145, 170, Townlink 291 and 293, 410 and Express 502![]()
this pic looks quite modern! saw that hyundai car beside it making a turn & a liteace behind , looks like 2002 or 2003 i think. Can see from pic that 186 has a few ppl on it nia.Originally posted by bus555:
Huh? SBS 9211A was supposed to be Townlink 222 perm.Originally posted by swee_heng:359 is still around , 291 used VO2x until mid 2004 when they are transferred out to SLBP , now it has 9211A on it
228 did have Leyland Atlanteans in the past , but i dun think it has VO2x.Originally posted by TWS4793:Service 228, from what I know, passes by one secondary school. During the morning peak hours, the buses get more like sardines. The worst is SMRT's Service 67. Wah, I see TIB 0973A jam-packed even if it's a bendy!
Yes you are correct , it is 222 perm , 291 doesn't have ADD perm currently , use to have 2 but i think now went to Service 19.Originally posted by TWS4793:Huh? SBS 9211A was supposed to be Townlink 222 perm.
You see how the 179 BCs do it...Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Even if it can, what if there is a jam and the bus has to stop half way up the slope ?
2 factors :Originally posted by stooper:You see how the 179 BCs do it...If full load, they will step on the accelerator for a while before releasing the handbrake.
If they release handbrake first then step accelerator, bus will roll back!![]()
