I remembered sitting on the LAs on service 105 way back in 1991. The LAs on service 105 were replaced by SD NAC MB0405s in 1992 when the route was diverted to Lorong Chuan.Originally posted by choww:105 cannot because of the flyover at Lor Chuan with 73 and 159
A lot of times, loading isn't just the factor for dd deploymentOriginally posted by TWS4793:And I would like to also ask why Services 225, 228, 291, 293 and 354 normally don't get DD's during peak hours where demands are quite high.
When I was just primary 6 last time, I used to take service 225 back home. But I had to withstand the uber-small space in the bus.
Townlink 293 is now affected also. I saw somw people had to stand on steps, which, in standard procedure, is not allowed.
Service 228, from what I know, passes by one secondary school. During the morning peak hours, the buses get more like sardines. The worst is SMRT's Service 67. Wah, I see TIB 0973A jam-packed even if it's a bendy!
Open House also the sameOriginally posted by TIB1018B:Service 90 used to have NAC DDs (LO2x) to cater for the peak hour crowd. However DDs were withdrawn and replaced by NAC Scania CRBs when the LO2x were phased out in 2003.
In fact services 90/94 should use LO3x during peak hours on weekdays![]()
If the real reason is to cater for the crowd on sv 90 I suppose tat SBST had looked into the matter n consider deploying LO3x instead of those crappy NAC SD Scanias on sv 90Originally posted by TIB1018B:Service 90 used to have NAC DDs (LO2x) to cater for the peak hour crowd. yar also dont forget 100, 101, 123 and 131Originally posted by TIB433S:32 doesnt have DDs. Can explain to me why? If 5 could use DDs even when turining into the narrow Margaret Drive road when it was under SBS, why cant 32 use DDs now?
because of Frankel Avenue?Originally posted by TIB433S:32 doesnt have DDs. Can explain to me why? If 5 could use DDs even when turining into the narrow Margaret Drive road when it was under SBS, why cant 32 use DDs now?
Didn't 502 use to have DDs when it went to Sengkang?Originally posted by bus555:dont forget 136, 139, 145, 170, Townlink 291 and 293, 410 and Express 502![]()

why not? DD and normal als same length..Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:Service 38 also cannot use DD due to the narrow roads in Simei? Along St 1 if im not wrong.
Narrow roads doesn't really matter. It's the turns along the narrow roads that matter.Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:Service 38 also cannot use DD due to the narrow roads in Simei? Along St 1 if im not wrong.
