Some trips can be fully loaded from Toa Payoh... It's more likely to the road conditions at Jalan Rajah/ Ah Hood Rd -

SBST deploy NAC LO2x on sv 90, intention in fact is to dump any NAC buses (NACs available from BLBP) there instead of using DDs to cater for the crowd. Now tat the LO2x are gone, all those remaining NAC SD Scanias (from BLBP) were all dumped there instead of upgrading it to LO3x

You must understand these routes have flexible routing sector. Hence, to allow BCs to have most flexibility in choosing a route they want to cover for the Express Sector, a DD is not used due to possible height constraints. This also applies for other Express Services like 10e, 174e e.t.c. -
