By allowing BCs to have SD, it gives them the flexibility to choose and go through roads that doesnt allow DDs to do so. This way, when there is a Jam somewhere along the Express Sector, the BC could then make a choice to detour to another route. -

some services passing by woodlands centre road can choose to skip that area if there is traffic jams, the practice till today.
but, some services, flexible routing made it slower..

that time last week SMRT 61 uses Anak Bukit Flyover/underpass... this one really overboard

Actually I think SBS quite dumb. If any of you guys here ever take 27 before, you would know that it is nearly always packed. Especially in the morning, it's even worse. And SBS actually has the service called 27A, which terminates at Tampines. So the service 27A has no height restrictions due to the Changi Airport basement terminal. So why can't SBS use DD for Service 27A? It will definitely help to carry more people.

All bus services that need to pass by the 3.3M Nicoll Highway bridge near beach road are unable to deploy DD's. Also, buses with 2D side or some SMRT 2D back ads are usually not able to pass by this bridge.

The BC who drove the 196 LA thought that he was driving Svc 16.. Yeah..true accidents do occur and BCs sometimes make mistakes..but I hope SBS think of something great soon..Cuz I take 27 to school everyday..I still have 2 more years at Temasek Poly..If this carries on, I will become sardine at the end of 3 years..
