Badge engineering, a la Holden Apollo <> Toyota Camry.Originally posted by SBS9806J:Isn't that Volvo bus and not Nissan Diesel bus?
Really hope so that would happen, cause Volvo chassis are one of the best engineered according to some people. Even its chassis has a name, the TX platform .Originally posted by XTransbus:haha. How about Volvo chassis with nissan engine? and voith/ZF gearboxes
Hmm, sliding exit door aka gullotine.Originally posted by carbikebus:Nissan Diesel will stay except the design will 90% European style in future production,So likely will be no more rear sliding door.Much like Nissan Latio which is 90% European design due to the merging with Renault
Same thing with Evobus & Fuso. Owned by DC, but separate manufacturing bases.Originally posted by SBS9816E:You guys may not be good with the ideology of business...
In this context, Volvo buys over Nissan Diesel as an activity of providing capitals for Volvo. Nissan Diesel per se is still operating as a separate entity, but partially owned by Volvo. Both companies wouldn't integrate their manufacturing activities, unless otherwise stated.
