bus services in Tuas

as you can see, Tuas is the most remote place after LCK and all the bus services there (182, 192, 193 and 254) goes to Boon Lay int and make Tuas without direct access to other parts of Singapore other than Boon Lay/Jurong West.
how do you see the necessaries and probabilities of Tuas having a new express/semi-express service (like those in 161, 16
to places other than Boon Lay/Jurong West? -
Seriously, if it's to be Tuas <-> East/ North corridor w/o passing by other places, it's really hao wu jing zhen li

last time when Tuas terminal was opened in 1998 there is indeed a service in Tuas that passes beyond Boon Lay Int --- 182 in which it plyed between Jurong East and Tuas via Boon Lay Way and Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim --- but later it was shortened to Boon Lay Interchange (The purpose of 182 then was to bring the passengers to Tuas terminal in the fastest time) and eventually merged with the then 183 in which it plyed between Tuas and Tuas South (Which was in my opinion, the most 'ulu' bus services then as it only plyed Tuas area) and becomes a Boon Lay - Tuas South (Loop service)Originally posted by Kheng Peng:as you can see, Tuas is the most remote place after LCK and all the bus services there (182, 192, 193 and 254) goes to Boon Lay int and make Tuas without direct access to other parts of Singapore other than Boon Lay/Jurong West.

Personally I don't think that SBST will come out another bus service in Tuas that passes beyond Boon Lay Int as 1) Tuas is quite remote 2) They will suggest that you take MRT to Boon Lay and transfer to 182 to Tuas Terminal/2nd link as it is still the fastest route from Boon Lay to Tuas Terminal/2nd link since 192 and 193 is turning around in Tuas and Lok Yang estate (for 192's case) -
where are the premium bus services?

Hope SLBP can fulfil my 4 wishes below...
1. There are no air con buses on service 192 during the off-peak hours as the air con buses are deployed on service 194 during this period, SLBP to deploy air con buses on service 192 throughout the operating hours.
2. SLBP to deploy VO2x on service 182 on weekdays and not just on weekends as obviously weekday loads are far more higher than weekends loads, perhap transfer all the VO2x from service 154 to service 182 and have the VO2x replaced by other air con double deckers.
3. SLBP to deploy additional buses especially air con double deckers on services 182, 192 and 193 during the peak hours due to the high passenger loads that the current fleets are facing difficulty to cope with.
4. Convert the Jurong Industrial Services to trunk services. (Quite impossible?) -

As for Pt 4, might be difficult for Sv 254 and 257 -

4. Can is can... just add the aircon fare band in it will do... but the workers have to pay more though.. It will become a reality when the VO2x retire. -

As for 246 and 249, I believes that most likely they will stay in Boon Lay Interchange come 2009.
For trunk services, 182 might be relocated to Joo Koon Terminal I believes while 193 will stay in Boon Lay Int. Not sure about 192 through. -
