Take Svc 804 from Yishun Int, alight at the 10th stop (along Yishun Ave 1).
Keep walking along the road and u'll eventually reach there. -

Hmm ... quite a good spot for people to fish, but sadly, there isn't any bus services that U-turns from the tip of Yishun Ave 1, or pass thru Jln Kayu =).
806 would be faster IMO, think it's the 5th stop can alight already. -
Its not exactly a dam la.... its more of a water gate, to control water levels in lower seletar reservoir.
Anyway, an alternative way of getting there will be taking 103 towards selatar airport, get off right after u pass by the end of the runway. You can also walk thru by there if u find taking 804/806 is far. Btw, the way from Yishun Ave 1 is very spooky, with moss growing all around the side of the roads. Proceed with caution

1st time went there for routemarch, super xiong, but find tt place quite nice especially ard 6-7pm, during sunset (the sunset, the breeze, the trees, n most importantly not alot of ppl).
too bad no toilets n shelter down there, but can go to the small ulu road at the end of the damn on the seletar side and do ur business by the roadside (but exercise caution).
yishun ave 1 indeed quite ulu, but not tt spooky, once saw a female jogger running alone, so shld b quite safe, gd to go wif someone cos the walk there realli quite long... went there once on a sat evening, n there's an icecream man selling icecream(dunno still ard). wah damn shiok to have icecream after the long walk. -
But dont play in the waters ... there are instances of people dying there as a consequence.
