ever seen bus captains wearing white gloves while driving?

  they michael jackson wannabe??
  i thought maybe they will do a MJ classic moonwalk on the bus aisle when stopping at the red light traffic...but never see leh.
  
  ok...anyway, why some BCs wear gloves while driving bus?

  I encountered that many times & its not just the BCs even taxi drivers can be sometimes be spotted wearing gloves too...

  If I'm not wrong, the bus drivers in Japan also wear gloves. And bus drivers do have a good reason to wear them - you don't really want your hands to be badly calloused or blistered from turning those steering wheels all day (especially if you are driving a LO3X - which I heard takes extra effort to steer ).
  
  And, it does give them a somewhat more professional and stylish image .

  Japan's bus, taxi, limousine drivers all wear gloves. Makes them look professional in their vocation. Unlike our local BC, many look like kencing kurap. Some dun even bother to look tidy..Sigh!
