Weird, No destos on SBS 9840 but with passengers

At first I didnt know but slowly as the bus pass by, I realise no one gets up the bus at all. Only alighting. When I alighted at Serangoon, I saw the front n side destos were gone. Only left lighted lights.
Anyone had similar experience b4?

Another bus was involved in this case yesterday.
The BC of SBS 2671B (16 ARBP) on Service 16 apparently removed the destos in one part of the journey and continued it's joruney with passwngers inside. I caught this bus red-handed without destos but with passengers at Kallang Bharu at about 1048hrs.
But the back of the bus had a 16A desto. -

Yesterday 28 also got.
Bus is 773D. Back desto 28 still present. Another 28 bus with desto also chiong and tail behind it (1985C). Quite useless... 773D still has to stop to alight passengers while 1985C stops to board passengers.

SBS9830M halfway on 143... i believe this bus ran to 88 and was replaced by 555S which slept through the mroning in toa payoh int...
SBS3747K on 63 in chinatown so it without front or rear desto but with passengers
SBS2626H 175 desto removed and saw it along pasir panjang with 3/4 passenegers left... 1 was an old lady with grey hair
SBS159C when it did cross over to S90.... halfway along jln toa payoh saw the front desto being removed
so close to int... why remove?

The reason that buses are doing that it's because the OCC tells them to do so. Once a bus is full and the fact that the driver is running very late, OCC will ask the Driver to take out destos and continue the journey without picking up the passengers. By doing so, it will then try to help the BC gain back soem time. This is why during the IT Fair recently, many services like 518 133 36 70, who were running late, were asked to remove destos. I hope this will clarify.

Sometimes may be bcos AC faulty. In this case, the BC will ask pax if they wanna continue, and for those who wish to continue in the sauna, the BC will take down the desto.

SBS 2745Y (21 BNDEP), destoless during my witness at the bus stop at Tampines Avenue 5 at about 1012hrs. -
Seen it before but I forgotten liao.
A B9TL On 2 that has no destos displayed in the front and there are passengers inside.. that was 2 months ago IIRC.
