SMRT no new bus svcs??

  as above..izzit due to nt enuff buses they had in their company?? while i noticed SBST keep introducing new bus svcs recently..

  SMRT not enough buses , but since CSS 608 retiring , they might consider introducing new svcs with full Nissan Fleets ( ex CSS buses) .

  I don't think so. They will use those nissans on 178, 187 and the leftovers on 980, then use the Scanias and Merc on the new service

  I remember that introduction of new svcs the company need to pay the PTC some amount of money. Maybe thats holding SMRT back. So far, newly introduced svcs some use only a few buses only. 922 and 882 uses less than 10 buses in total (922 + 882).

  902 was introduced last year with only 3 perm buses

  But in mandrin, its pronounced as ''er'', and translate the word to English without knowing its a ''2'', it can be ''hungry''.

  882 = father hungry.
  
  Wah...902 only got 3 buses?? dat means that combining all the buses from svc 882,902 and 922 the amount didnt even exceed 10!

  Can't see them introducing new services. Among all the bus companies around (Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore). SMRT has to be one of the weakest I ever seen.

  882 is because of 167 amendment. and only 1 pathetic bus
  
  922 is due to MP political reason.. again, 1 pathetic bus..
  
  950 was seen to try to rival 170
  
  so the really new trunk service is 966?

  Thanks to 922, BPJ did not fall into Ling How Doong's hands like BGB 16 years ago.
  
  If there was no NE for NW swap, Tibs would still be in good shape. Similar arrangements could have been made for svc 82 as that of 167.

  855 853 852 will sometimes get a few, when the smrt first transfer them in the 2005 era, they mostly came to yishun int 852 853 855,(all new faces driving the uds at that time, now driving merc liao ) and sometimes 171, then after a few moths , gone to woodland liao.

  178 = full Nissan fleet of 14 buses (OAC/CAC)
  981 = full Nissan fleet of 2 buses (OAC only)
  187 = no perm Nissans but will have 3-4 Nissan cameos seen daily
  980 = 1 perm OAC Nissan only doing S-shift (CSS183U)
  853 = 1 perm CAC Nissan only doing S-shift (TIB1256E)
  852/855 = no perm Nissans but sometimes do have Nissan cameos

  Service 178 is the main victim that kanna all the Nissan buses, especially after service 950 was introduced in 2004. All its Scanias were reassigned to other services which "lost" its Merz buses to service 950.
