Aiyoh, u forgot 960, 961, 963 and 970Originally posted by Yaimster:Should let them try Nissans on 190/858/950.... then SMRT will have new services.
Service 167 lost a number of Merz buses too...I think TIB451P is one of them. Replaced by TIB645Y and TIB647S (former 178 Scanias - which eventually 178 were replaced with NissansOriginally posted by TIB1049L:Yah esp. 700 lost a lot of mercs. how i wish 950 used UDs
Boom Boom in the checkpoint, kena breakdown in Malaysia

Service 963 had a Scania (TIB666L), which was formerally from service 980.
Service 961 also had a number of Scanias formally from service 178 too (TIB568L and TIB571B, just to name a few).
From what I know, many 178 Scanias went SP tooOriginally posted by TIB1018B:Service 167 lost a number of Merz buses too...I think TIB451P is one of them. Replaced by TIB645Y and TIB647S (former 178 Scanias - which eventually 178 were replaced with Nissans)

TIB565U, TIB569J, TIB637X, TIB639R, TIB649L, TIB657M, TIB659H - all these Scanias were the last batch to be seen on service 178 in 2005-2006. Eventually these buses on 178 became Nissan fleets tooOriginally posted by TIB1049L:From what I know, many 178 Scanias went SP too
Yeah ... at most they could do short trips.Originally posted by TIB 589B:Heard from Bukit Batok Interchange BC's that > New short trip of 189 is coming out soon... more details i will post once i get the full info
then amk depot will be its hospital, btw, that day i spot tib 365 e in outside other people's workshopOriginally posted by TIB1049L:WLDEP = King of UDs
Some details here. For wat i KNow the New 189 short trip will be using Mercedes Benz O.405G (Hispano Habit) . Serving From Bukit Batok Int to Bukit Batok Street 23 den driver will make a u-turn ( Somewhere No sure??) den go Bukit Batok Street 23 back to BB int . Will Be 'S' shift. Not Yet confirm as SMRT Buses is still looking into this short trip.Originally posted by Yaimster:Yeah ... at most they could do short trips.
At least they know how to reuse buses from short services to trunk services. For eg. TIB444K(?) ends its Service 965A at around 6.45am, parks at the 857 Berth @ Yishun Interchange before moving on as Service 857 for the rest of the day![]()
A gentle reminder.. these information might be confidential or sensitive to any bus companies. It would be better to practise precaution and perhaps share with everyone only when it's confirmed or when they have press release.Originally posted by TIB 589B:Some details here. BBT St 23? That area "belongs" to SBST. Don't think SMRT Bus will do that trip.Originally posted by TIB 589B:Some details here. wont laugh lah, their bus more worstOriginally posted by Raraken:Ya, later M'sia laugh at us........But at least our UDs are better than their Merz.
I must confess that everytime I go out to JB for jalan-jalan, all these Merc 0405s from Transit Link have exhaust dust at the back and they produce smoke from burning bad quality diesel and have no catylic converter. I also must confess that they need to refurbish their seats soon and replace their whole fleet. If this goes on for 50 years, it'll be bad.Originally posted by CS Pang:wont laugh lah, their bus more worst
at this rate, SMRT will lose out alot of money and then they have to withdraw from their bus business and continue with taxi/train business. in fact, SMRT is better in managing the train business while SBS Transit is best in managing buses business. for taxi, comfort/citycab/yellow top best.Originally posted by tintinspartan:I must confess that everytime I go out to JB for jalan-jalan, all these Merc 0405s from Transit Link have exhaust dust at the back and they produce smoke from burning bad quality diesel and have no catylic converter. Well, UDs could use some room at Kranji or 925. 925 buses almost empty during weekday off-peak. They deploy UDs on 178 because the passenger demand is very low.
Remind you that TIB644A became 902 perm and SP after that. The last time they introduced new ones are in 2002 with the Volgren Smiley bendies which obviously, ruled by WLDEP. Just recently, TIB1182J cameo-ed on 700 exactly last week![]()
I must also say that SBS got some of their service numbers back.Originally posted by BusSpeeder:i would say SMRT withdraw the services which have poor frequencies run on them and let SBST run these. in the first place, SBST should NOT EVEN give up the bukits (meaning bukit batok, bukit panjang, etc.) interchanges to smrt. if im not wrong, choa chu kang was also given to smrt by SBST. not sure whether this is true, but woodlands regional is the only interchange/terminal which is owned by smrt solely.

SMRT does not have enough buses can be one of the reasons due to insufficient capital to purchase them, however I do notice other reasons as well which are as follows:Originally posted by rx7Savanna:as above..izzit due to nt enuff buses they had in their company?? while i noticed SBST keep introducing new bus svcs recently..![]()
