The 25 cents is a rebate given to reduce the cost of making transfers (changing from one bus to another bus, or changing in between bus/MRT/LRT).Originally posted by 798:why isiz dat when we take two buses wif same number (e.g. 179), there is no deduction of price like 25 cents?
any logic? different number buses they deduct, but same number no...
what if you drop off too early? do u have to walk all the way to ur destination?
Transfer rebate is not applicable to transferring to another bus of the same service...Originally posted by 798:why isiz dat when we take two buses wif same number (e.g. 179), there is no deduction of price like 25 cents?

that's why i find it's kinda no logic at all! this kinda rule should change as there are pple need to take bus to another station and buy thing, n coming back home still have to pay full price which can be kinda stupid.Originally posted by stituss:The 25 cents is a rebate given to reduce the cost of making transfers (changing from one bus to another bus, or changing in between bus/MRT/LRT).
Taking buses of the same service number consecutively is not considered transfer (you don't transfer to the same bus number right?).
If you are running errands and spend only a short time at the destination, you may choose to another service number back to enjoy the 25 cents rebate (note that the time lapse between alighting and boarding should be within 45 mins, after which transfers rebate are not applicable). Of course, this can only work if you have alternative services to choose from.
care to tell me what is the reason behind?Originally posted by off_service:Transfer rebate is not applicable to transferring to another bus of the same service...
it is call "TRANSFER REBATE"... if u r taking the same bus service back. it is not call as TRANSFER., so no rebate.Originally posted by 798:that's why i find it's kinda no logic at all! this kinda rule should change as there are pple need to take bus to another station and buy thing, n coming back home still have to pay full price which can be kinda stupid.

got the transfer rebate
the trip i got a rebate was simply 315 > 315Originally posted by stooper:Is it because you take the same bus back?
Normally I don't tap when getting out, so last time (before I had bus pass), I got off the bus to do something. Then later, when I went back to the bus stop to take the other direction (it's a loop service), just nice the first bus I take finish its loop and coming back. So I take the bus and when I tap at front entrance, it pretends I have just exited instead! So it just charged be 45cents and not 90cents...![]()
